Saucony Reviews

I have been running in Guides for over one year and could not be happier with this shoe. I run about 20 miles per week and go through 3 pairs per year entirely due to wear and tear. They offer the perfect amount of support for my flat and narrow feet. I have no issues with fit, I usually wear a 7/7.5 and I wear a 7.5 in these shoes.

I ran exclusively in Kinvaras, and I am a huge fan. I read some research that showed running in multiple shoes can reduce injury, and I took that as a great excuse to buy some more shoes. I now run in Kinvaras, Type A6, and these Virratas. The funny thing is I never thought I'd stray from the Kinvaras, but these are now my go-to shoes that I look forward to throwing on the most. It's been 3 1/2 month and I'm almost at 500 miles in these. Here are some thoughts... 1) These are fast! While my Kinvaras feel like I'm running with an old friend, these feel like someone is on my heels and I need to go faster. 2) I thought they'd be more worn out after 500 miles. I'll replace them soon, but they aren't particularly worn (however, I usually don't have wear issues including the old Kinvaras that many people had issues with). 3) I run a lot on crushed limestone and dirt trails. If you do the same, you may get a few pebbles stuck in the soles. I can't feel the pebbles during a run so it doesn't bother me in the least. 4) I wear a size 12 in Saucony shoes; these felt great in a 12. Happy running!

I am extremely pleased with these shoes. I do not run long distances, but I do run everyday. They are comfortable and fit perfectly. I ordered a 9½. My feet measures between 8½ and 9.

About Saucony

In 1977, after many long years being kept a close secret, Saucony® men's shoes and women's shoes were recognized by a small group of serious runners and received an award given by a US magazine. Stemming from that day, Saucony® shoes and clothing have built a reputation for high quality and innovative technical performance for which it is known today.

Four years later, the Saucony® Jazz O, the most popular Saucony (now Saucony® Original) shoe to be made, was launched and in 1991, offered a midsole comprising both cushioning and stability-GRID® resulting in men's and women's shoes that delivered a superior ride.

At Saucony®, they exist for runners. Runners inspire them, bringing new ideas and force the Saucony® brand to be better inside and out. They are the inspiration behind the design and engineering of Saucony's best-made products. Runners keep them competitive, hungry and driven but mostly, honest.

Whether in a conference room, or out on a lunchtime run, Saucony® employees are constantly talking about and arguing about their running clothing, shoes and accessories. They are passionate about their products and run in every product they make. This focus and passion fuels them to create the best Saucony® running pieces on the planet. And they keep an eye toward the future when producing Saucony® kid's shoes. Doing so allows them to come to work each day knowing they've done everything to make runner's lives, regardless of age, just a little bit better.

At Saucony®, a good day is when they get to run. A great day is when they inspire someone else to run.
