Rockport Reviews

My first experience with Zappos. I had excellent service and the shoes fit well but the one problem was the leather. It began cracking on the shoes with very little wear. Since I don't wear them often I was upset about this. I only wore them 5 to 10 times before the cracking and spliting of the leather began. The soles are not nearly worn out but the leather is damaged beyond repair with very little use. I have never seen this in a shoe and I would not recommend this brand again.
I have owned these since November 2012, so going on 8 months now and I love wearing them. They look great with all black outfits and even more polished if you wear them with another patent leather accessory, I bought a bag and a belt to go with them. These make you look great in all this rain we've been getting. You can wear them with thinner socks in spring and summer and thicker socks in the winter. Also, the patent leather crinkles in a flattering way once they break in, so the shoe still looks nice after months of wear. I hope Rockport continues to produce this wonderful boot, because it fills the niche for chic, comfy, almost sexy, rain boots.
I bought these shoes prior to a trip to Prague and Vienna. I walked everywhere in them. They are very comfortable and to my surprise relatively cool on the hot summer days. And they look good. The only negative was that they were slippery on the cobblestones in the rain which was a surprise given the hiking shoe type sole.
Just tried the pair on after the very efficient shipment. Not nearly as comfortable as my last pair of Rockports. I'll be returning them and try another style, since I've really been treated well by Rockports in the past.
I just received them about 45 minutes ago, and I tried them on and let me tell you: they fit like socks. Not tight socks, but a comfortable pair of socks that you forget you're wearing. They have a nice, sleek vibe to 'em. They look good to the step. The color looks real nice in various light-settings. I am going to get Nylon Taps to protect the soles/heels. This purchase is worth every penny. Also, I can dig the convergence of the vintage (early twenties)/contemporary/urban vibe that this shoe captures; this, consequently, makes it a nice addition to any outfit with slightly loose-leg jeans, and button down (in or out) and a sports jacket (optional). They also can be worn, no socks (spray feet with a diluted Hydrogen Peroxide mist), with a pair shorts, and a button-down (w/the sleeves rolled up); or, even with a pair jeans and a t-shirt--depending on the fit and hang / break of the jeans. Obviously, they can seriously "hurt" a suit, but w/o a tie. It takes a little creativity to pull these off with a suit, I imagine, given that the soles are not really "dressy" or "formal." However, they will compliment a suit (of the right fabric), with a shirt, in the context of a similar color-coordination that captures the convergence of vintage/contemporary/modern/urban. Hope this helps. Peace.

Shoe is horrible fit. The left shoe has a seam right below my ankle bone. It rubbed it raw enough to cause bleeding. I put an extra sole in the shoes and that helps a little bit but still rubs and irritates my ankle bone but not as bad as it did originally. Very dissatisfied with my purchase here.
I was worried when I opened the box, as they looked much slimmer than a 4E. I thought somebody goofed and immediately thought I'd have to return them. Nope! They are wonderful. I ordered another pair in black just to cover all the bases.

These are a very nice nubuck, but it's rather too thin and makes the shoe unstructured. The front of the shoe could be shaped a bit better--it's too rounded. But on the other hand, the shoe is so much larger than my size, and in fact my size in Rockport, that I quikly found myself tripping over the front of the shoe while walking.

Ok, but cheap. This looks first class, but is made like a cheaper variety of bedroom slippers. Almost no support, the inside is NOT lined and the laces are glued in rather than being truly functional. Looks great, feels ok. I don't expect them to last long. Rockport knows better than to do this...
The shoes are really long and they will create a crease when you walk in them. Also I do not think they are comfortable to walk in - they hurt the top of my feet.

As I have a very wide foot, I needed the shoe to fit exactly the way I wanted. When I ordered from a different company, I had to return the shoes, which were sized the same way, but were far too narrow. This is the 2nd pair from Zappos that fit well. I find that you get what you order, so I will be continuing to order from Zappos.
These shoes are really cute, but unfortunately they are huge! I wear a size 6 and my foot was swimming in them. I ordered 3 other pairs of sandals and they all fit more properly, so I don't think it was that might foot shrank. Too bad because I think since they're Rockport, they probably would be pretty comfortable in the right size. The only other thing I was a little disappointed in was the color. It's too reddish, more like the color of flower pots, so less versatile and a little weird with my skin color (Asian). (Because of the color, I meant to give it 3 stars for Style but accidentally clicked 5 and it wouldn't let me "de-star" that rating.)
I tried these in a 6.5W and a 7. They both fit quite well, but I decided to go with the 7. Extremely comfortable! Both shoes fit very well. Well-made, good arch support, they didn't fall off my feet when walking, and you won't slip and fall (bottom is not slick). A keeper!
This is not an easy size to find, so we think Zappos is wonderful for being just about the ONLY place we can get ANY kind of shoe that simply FITS. Be that as it may, these Rockports are SO comfy, look good and added bonus and are quiet! They can be worn with business casual or business semi-formal.
I had wanted something lighter in tone. Excellent color, British Tan, really catches the eye. Comfortable fit. I hope Rockport uses this color in more styles.

First things first...Zappos is one of the best online "stores" I have encountered. Professional, caring helpful personnel...it is a pleasure shopping there. As for the Rockport World Tour Classic shoes...very good support, well made, and light and a good price.
This is easy. Great fit, great feel, great look, great price, great shipping speed..see, told you this was easy. Love the shoe. I have found a new shoe store...
I saw these shoes at a store in a different color, and then found the color I preferred at Zappos. Ordering was as easy as I imagine it could be. The shoes are lightweight and comfortable. You can cut off the black rubber heel guard easily if it grabs you. I did, and shoes are better without them. I don't quite understand why Rockport put them there in the first place.

Loved the shoe! Thought I finally found a basic pump with no strap to fit my skinny feet, no luck. Way too wide and long.

In general, it tends to be more of a challenge to find the perfect fit in a slip on shoe because you don't have the ability to tighten or loosen laces to make adjustments. I initially ordered these shoes in a size 14 and they were too big, so I returned them and ordered a 13. The shoes fit snugly across the arch which is important for a good slip on shoe fit. This "snug" fit tends to remind me that the shoes are on my feet even while sitting around. There's no discomfort, you just know that they are there. Laces would allow for a more perfect fit, but I prefer slip on shoes and accept this minor drawback. Where these shoes really shine though is when I am on my feet. I spend a lot of time in an office but do walk the facility where I work frequently and these may be the most comfortable dress shoes that I have ever worn when walking around. The inserts provide a comfortable point of contact and the rubberized soles absorb a lot of impact, significantly reducing stress to the feet, and knees. They are also a good looking shoe and work well with a suit. I plan on purchasing another pair for a backup and would recommend these shoes to anyone who spends time on their feet in dress shoes.

Great shows. I bought one pair as I was going overseas and thought they would be good for travelling. They're so light weight, I immediately ordered a second pair in blue. Comfortable and looked great. Especially at the price.
