New Balance Reviews
I love these shoes! Great price, great service, quick shipping and I usually try to find New Balance I can afford. I wear a wide shoe and not many companies make them...
Very light and comfortable, I'm on my feet most of the day at work and also do a good amount of walking, these shoes allow me to still enjoy walking after work. I always order New Balance shoes a half size larger than my dress shoe size as they run about a half size small.
My only complaint is that the seam at the base of the tongue isn't flat. Like a 1/4" edge which rubs the top of my foot when I walk. Such a shame because it's otherwise a perfect fit.
I was a bit disappointed, as I was accustomed to the 927, the previous iteration of the shoe. I felt that the uppers were of an inferior quality, and there was a lack of support across the toes were the laces start. the sole was a bit denser, I felt it didn't have the same bounce. however since the 927 was discontinued, I must soldier on because these do have a proper narrow fit, and that is what is paramount to me.
Really glad I came across the Zappos web site. My shoes were same as orthopedic shoes that I purchased from my doctor. Needless to say I was very pleased as I truly like New Balance Brand. Another was the shipping time it took to get my new shoes as the shoes were at my home in no time and is one of the reasons I will order again with no hesitation at all. Thank you for your prompt service and getting my order right and timely.
I LOVE THESE SHOES! As someone who just started running again after 6 years I can't compare them to any other recent light weight runners but they are so comfortable it feels like your not wearing anything on your feet. I've had a series of foot surgeries and had my Achilles lengthened so I need comfortable, supportive shoes and these are great. Plus they are super cute!
I love these. The women's pair was not quite wide enough for me, so I went with the men's and also went up 1/2 size. I wear them without socks and don't get any rubbing. The "no sew" design does seem to help. They're also quick to slip on and off because the tongue doesn't have to be adjusted. They are extremely light-weight and super flexible (roll them up into a ball if you like, stuff them in a pocket, whatever). The sole is very thin, enough that I feel every rock (I like that!) and that goat head stickers will poke through (not as nice but I just take them out and keep going). They're not too hot or sweaty. Some dust and sand gets through; as a minimalist shoe, this offers minimal protection. This is the most minimalist shoe I've found from the traditional shoe-makers. It's my favorite of the Minimus line, being even lighter, more flexible, less structured and offering more ground feel than the MT00, which is another good shoe.
I wasn't sure what size to order, since the two pairs of walking shoes I already had were different sizes. I chose the larger size, figuring with Zappos' great return policy I could always send them back if they didn't fit. As it turned out, the shoes fit perfectly. They are exceptionally comfortable. I hadn't realized how worn out my other shoes were till I got these new ones. I think the only minor downside is that the laces are somewhat slippery so I have to double knot them to keep them from coming untied. I'll probably be buying another pair of these New Balance shoes in the near future, and then I can throw out my other pair of worn-out walkers.
Was looking for a lightweight walking shoe with some support. I found that the canvas portion of the upper abraded on the top part of my foot causing discomfort while walking, more so when wearing with a sock. Thought about keeping them for ultralight Summer shoes but ultimately decided they don't offer any advantage over sandals in that context.
Love these shoes! They are comfortable and versatile. I wanted something that was as practical as a sneaker when running around with my 2 year old daughter that also looked cute. Great shoe overall!
NB shoes have generally work with my feet and I was looking for a lighter shoe that still offered support. These are a very comfortable and lightweight. I was initially put off by the [now] typical space-themed styling but they blend well with blue jeans and aren't too garish. So far they have been great. Had one longer walk (beyond an hour) where I felt a blister coming on but they're still kinda new so can't tell if they need more breaking in. The only downside here in Seattle is that the mesh offers zero water protection, so only for dry days.
When I can get a wider width, I drop my size by 1/2, so I bought 11 EE (wide) instead of 11.5 D. It was perfect. After wearing these for a day and a half they felt perfectly broken in. The mesh upper is airy and light, on a windy day I could feel the breeze on my feet. This kept my feet cool and very comfortable. I wish it had a little more arch support, but it's adequate. I am susceptible to plantar fascitis and so far there's no hint of trouble wearing these without any special orthotics. (FWIW, Viscospot heel inserts will fit in these if needed, though it's a little snug.) Overall I'm quite pleased with these and thinking strongly of picking up another pair or two for the future.
I bought these for my husband. He has wide feet that are hard to fit. These fit out of the box. And his back readjusted (he was loath to give up an old pair that were worn down but fit).
I bought these shoes 3 1/2 months ago, and as someone who has bought New Balance for many years, I'm very disappointed. The tongue on the shoe is short, so the lacing at the top of the shoe gets bunched up. It wasn't uncomfortable though so I decided to keep them. However, now the fabric is starting to fray at the top of the foot hole by the inner ankle on both shoes. I wear these shoes 3-4 times a week to the gym where I do the elliptical trainer--nothing too arduous--so it seems awfully early for these shoes to start falling apart. This is the first time I've had a problem with New Balance shoes.
This is the first minimalist shoe I've purchased (other than Vibram Five Fingers. It's also the first New Balance shoe I've bought that's not cushioned, so I had some trepidation. I'm still getting used to it, but I do like it!
This is a great shoe for hard cardio exercising or for hiking and running. Not only is the shoe very comfortable, but stylish as well.
I have wide feet and high flexible arches. These are supportive, comfortable, and above all, lightweight. I didn't think they would be any good at first because I'm used to clunky orthotics. They are wearing great! I average 3 miles a day and so far seem to not have trouble with under pronation

Love, love this slide. All males in my family wear them. It is very light weight. Color selection are good. very soft on the feet without socks. It is quiet too when walking on hardwood floor. Wear it indoor or outdoor, dry or wet, works very well. It could be for women as well. Unfortunately it is sold out in my size at Zappos.
I'm a beginning runner and thought I would pick up an upgrade over an old pair of shoes and I have been satisfied with the purchase. One thing to note is the first pair I ordered was a 2E width, which felt a little too snug on the small toes. A 4E is very comfortable however and I wish more shoes had such wide widths! And lastly, these say they are American made, which I find to be great! (a bonus I found was no funky smells out of the box.)
Fits my narrow feet quite well. And nice looking. But has neither enough support nor enough cushion, even with other insoles. Sorry to need to return. By the way, I wear 7.5 narrow in regular shoes and either 8 or 8.5 narrow in running shoes. In this shoe, the 8.5 was the right length.
New Balance is consistently amazing. I am so happy with this sneaker. It is super comfy. I've worn New Balance sneakers almost exclusively since the late 1990s. For my last pair, I decided to try something new -- what a mistake! Nothing can compare to the perfect fit and superior cushion of the New Balance brand. These sneakers are amazing, fit true to size (I wear a 9.5N) and keep my feet and legs happy all day. Definitely recommend!
