KEEN® was born from one simple question: Can a sandal protect your toes? The answer is yes and the reason is the KEEN Newport, a waterproof sandal featuring KEEN Patented Toe Protection.
Today, KEEN makes a broad selection of shoes for men, women and kids Hybrid.Footwear that goes from trail to city. KEEN shoes and sandals feature innovative technology like S3 heel support and Metatomical footbeds to support and cushion feet. In addition to shoes, KEEN also makes bags and socks. The KEEN Hybrid.Transport bag collection features recycled and re-purposed items from the footwear manufacturing process. KEEN Hybrid.Sox offer a seamless fit for the left and right foot and are made with organic cotton and Merino wool.

This was my First pair of Keens and have led me to buying the Atlanta Cool boots, Arroyo II, and Newport H2 sandals. I got them on sale elsewhere and my only reason for purchase was that they were advertised as waterproof. I ride a motorcycle to work about 15 miles each way and have worn these is some very heavy rain while riding and not gotten a drop of water on my socks. They also do great at controlling heat. I have ridden in 17° wet weather and stayed warm, as well as the mid 90°s lately and they stay very comfortable. Just like the other reviews, the arch support is stellar and they are all around comfortable for all day wear. I purchased the Atlanta Cools to have a steel toe and lighter shoe, but these Bryce Mids will be my go to wet weather and/or winter riding shoes for a long time.
I have a pair of Keen sandals nearly identical in looks to these, purchase at least six years ago. They are my most comfortable, favorite sandals, so I had high hopes for this purchase. I love the stripes, but alas, my happiness ended there. First, the footbed is lighter and feels cheaper than the ones I've been wearing for years. Immediately I felt like it just wouldn't last. Second, the toe band is now made of fabric instead of formed rubber like my old pair -- not comfortable, and again felt like it was less likely to last. Third, I ordered my size, and they barely fit on my feet, so I returned them for a full size larger, thinking maybe this would solve my slight misgivings. Even though ordering a size larger meant the sandals fit on my feet, the toe band still felt uncomfortable and my feet felt like they were being pushed over to the hard side of the sandal. So I am now returning these. I am greatly disappointed in Keen. I literally have five pairs of Keens right now -- the aforementioned flip-flops, two pairs of water shoes, a pair of sneakers and a pair of hiking boots. I really hope this disappointing sandal is not indicative of a downward slide in quality.

These sandals are super cute. Just the right balance of style and function, much more feminine than the Newport. Unfortunately, there is very little arch support, so I have to return them. I wish Keen would redesign the arch in the footbed to be more supportive, like most of their other shoes.
