Blundstone Reviews
I love this boot, the leather is softer than the regular leather finish and breaks in after about 10days of wear. They are awesome for traveling, I can wear to work and out at night and walking my dogs... if I had to pack one pair of shoes, these are them!
This is my first pair of Blundstones and since I've only had them two months, I can't speak to any longevity issues. They appear to be well made and are very lightweight. The latter was a big factor since I do a great deal of walking. I purchased this particular model thinking it would be easier to resole, but it has a molded EVA sole just like the others (it just looks like a traditional sewn-sole). There are some sites that advertise that they can re-sole Blundstone's, but I have not had good experiences and will leave it to others to comment on that issue. I found the boot to run narrower across the top (metatarsal area) which restricts the ability to wear thicker socks; just as well since the closed style means they run warm and will limit, at least for me anyway, their use to the cooler months (I've already put them away 'till October -- it's May in NYC). On the plus side of the closed style, it does make them easier to clean. If you elect to apply the enclosed waterproofing wax, do so sparingly and note that it will make the surface somewhat tacky for a good week afterwards -- even after wiping it off with a towel as recommended. I used less than half of the wax packet furnished, and it was still too much. Only time will tell if these were worth the investment, but I am content with the purchase and would consider Blundstone brand in the future.
These are the some of the best all around outdoor shoes I've ever had. They are a bit stiff, but no doubt, the leather will get more supple with wear. My husband loves them too, so I'm ordering him a pair. I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear, and that seems to have been the right choice.
My 500s are nearly eight years old. They took some time to break in then became extraordinarily comfortable after a few months. I wear them up to five days a week on the street and in the class room. The uppers are supple, nearly waterproof and very scuff free despite their age. The back of the heels wore down after four years but I had a local shoe repairman put a rubber plate in the worn area and that has extended the life another three years. Although I care for my footwear, the performance of these 500s has nonetheless been remarkable. These were made in Tasmania. I hope that any new 500s will be as reliable, stylish and long-lived. In a world of shoddy product it's always great to find quality and I always hope that it will endure!
The product is only available in full Australian sizes and one width. It fit me perfectly with a light sock. A heavy sock doesn't work at all. I like it a lot.
I love my Blunnies! Finding the right size was a challenge though, I had to order a full size smaller in the US size - 3.5 sizes smaller in Australian sizing - to find a pair that fit. Once I found them I didn't take them off for the entire winter. My pair came with Nikwax which I highly recommend using, mine are still in great shape. The style is a bit clunky, but that's to be expected.
These boots will leak in the toe when walking on wet pavement after a block. Love the style and the ability to slip them on, but do not wear them when it is wet out.
Fantastic and comfy shoes, and what's more, the uniqueness makes them cool and casual. Zappos rocks!
Had my doubts when I first tried them on out of the box, they felt a bit tight through the mid section. After 2 weeks I couldn't be happier about a lifeless pair of shoes. They're great, they broke in wonderfully. I'm a 9.5 us and I ordered the 8.5 aus. My feet are normal/wide.
Nice boots, well made. Nice to look at, but most of the styling is hidden by pants, so very minimalist below the ankle. Slightly tight over the instep for a size ten, but I expect them to stretch a bit as I wear them. Not much cushioning on the sole. Feels more like a dress shoe.
These shoes are perfectly comfortable and did not require any break-in time. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now. I have slightly wide feet and a bunion--and the bunion does not scream at me when I wear these shoes. I wanted a casual shoe I could wear in all weather, and on all terrain, for a trip to Ireland. I think these will be perfect.
I am amazed at how perfectly comfortable these are right off the bat. Even though I did get 1 blister on my right heel the first day I wore them walking about 5 miles, but then they were totally fine and broken in!
I really like these shoes! Very comfortable, right out of the box. Slightly loose, but I knit my own socks and these are the first pair of shoes that fit well with them. I think I could comfortably wear a half size smaller (usually wear a women's 8). I would give them 5 stars if they had significant arch support.

These boots are very good for someone like me who needs to be in and out of places where no shoes are allowed. They are the easiest boots to slip on and off and of course feel great on my feet the rest of the time. Very good looking especially with jeans or khakis.
Walking, hiking, to the park, around town, I seem to be living in this boot. My husband tried to talk me into Blundstones for years, I don't know what took me so long?! Fantastic with skinny jeans for a simple moto boot look, also wearing with leggings and sweater dress. Follow rec. for sizing, it was spot on. Great for wider feet!
I really like these boots. I got them to replace a pair of Keen waterproof boots. While the footbed is not quite as comfortable as the Keens, they are still comfortable. They run 1/2 size larger and wider. I have a wide foot but they are very wide. This is probably due to the fact that they are a men's boot but have women's "sizes." I ordered several different pairs of boots, all the same size, these were the only ones that did not fit as well.
I had an older pair of 500s and the soles were crumbling. I contacted Blundstone in Tasmania and they were very responsive and ended up sending me a pair of new 550s as a replacement. Customer service was great and they stood by their product. My daughters, age 6 and 9, have been wearing the kids boots for years. They take a beating and look great after a quick polish. One pair has been worn constantly for about 4 years now...there is no other kid shoe I have seen that will last that long! I like the 550s much better than the 500s. Very comfortable with the leather lining. Apparently the Blundstone boot is not made in Tasmania, but if you have ever run a business there are compromises that need to be made to offer a quality product at a good price. They are a very high quality boot.
Delighted - plenty of room in toe, holds my narrow heel well. First try on I knew they would be comfortable.
I love these boots. My last pair lasted over 10 years. I had to buy a new pair because I wore the soles off the last ones and they do not recommend resoling. Now I share the new ones with my teenage daughter who also loves them.
Really like these, especially for ski vacation. Good-looking, comfortable and water-proof. Worked on the way to the slopes and for dinner.
