Thanks! We'll notify you as soon as we add new styles for Baffin.
Baffin is focused on becoming the undisputed global leader in performance footwear, providing quality, comfort, aesthetics and value through the technical innovation, with a focus on creating the ultimate boot for extreme conditions. Polar explorers have come to appreciate the unique qualities of Baffin boots. Doug Stoup, a celebrated polar adventurer, used Baffin boots to travel over 1,000 kilometers across the Antarctic. In 2006, at least three separate international expeditions chose Baffin boots to get to the North Pole, including, of course, Baffin's own polar trekking team.

When polar explorers trek to the North or the South Pole they subject their footwear to the most demanding conditions imaginable. Day after day they exert themselves to the point of exhaustion, pulling their equipment over the rough and unrelenting terrain. They lose as much as one pound of body weight each day in perspiration and burned calories. At night they sleep in small tents where the temperature can drop as low as -60°C (-76°F), freezing their boots. Cold feet and blisters, that might not be given a second thought in other situations, can be fatal in this environment.

While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. In the early 90s Baffin realized that if they combined their leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, they could create a new hybrid style of high performance footwear. Since then Baffin has developed new materials and combined them in new, innovative combinations. A good example is the unrivaled 8-layer combination of materials that are used in the boots that are rated for -100ºC (-148ºF).

Over the years, Baffin has created a line of industry-leading footwear that performs in extreme conditions for an ever-growing list of loyal users and activities, including snowmobiling, ice-fishing, hunting, mushing and working in industries like construction, oil, mining, forestry, and outdoor winter recreation. Because of this, Baffin has become the leader in footwear for all your cold weather needs.

This boot made it to Antarctica and back - and was wonderful. Except for one excursion when we trekked through a small stream for a good five minutes and a little moisture seeped in, the boots kept my feet dry through wet zodiac landings and hikes through snow - and were moderately comfortable enough to wear for the entire 19 hour trip down to Argentina rather than packing them in my luggage. They'd be too big for me without the liner, but it was a perfect fit otherwise - I usually have trouble finding a boot small enough for my foot and large enough to fit over my calf.

The boots are sturdy but not rigid. They have a removable liner (the liner is like a separate boot). The liner, in a size 8, is over an inch shorter than the boot shell, also in a size 8. The shoelace is a draw cord, and if I were going to keep the boots, would need to be replaced with something that would wrap around the boot to help keep my foot from sloshing around in it when I walked.

These look like awesome boots! We ordered size 7 and my daughter wears size 6, but they were still too small. Have to return them. Order large!

Bummer. I had similar experience as other reviews. Inner lining is really small compared to boot. I tried to give it a chance walking around my apartment, but going to return them. I am sure a size up would just be too big. They look cool and like they would be very warm and sturdy.

I love these boots... I looked at many boots, and decided to go with these and I'm glad I did! I live in Minnesota, so the temps do get below zero, these boots do keep my feet very warm. Great on the ice too. Only complaint I have is they do run a little small. I usually wear an 8 and had to return for a size 9.
