Walk-Over Reviews
I have become a great fan of Walk Over Shoes and have purchased many different styles and colors! These handsome shoes are versatile, wonderfully comfortable and garner compliments every time I wear them. A great addition to my show collection!
I love these shoes! I have been looking for Walk Over since 1990 when I bought three pair; however, I thought the company went under. These are the best shoes anyone could own, made well, fit well and just classic looking. My last pair were 10.5 and these are 11, they feel a little wider than the last pair but generally true to size. I plan to order three additional pairs in white, brown and perhaps a second white or brown. The multi-colored are cool but not my style.
These boots are fantastic. They're a little stiff at first, but should break in with in a few times of wearing them. They're great to wear around town or to the office. Highly recommend!
After reading about Walk Over shoes I found them at Zappos and now have a new favorite brand, which has the bonus of being made not just in the US but in Pennsylvania, where I live. I bought four different pairs of oxfords and one boot, and also gave three pairs as gifts at Christmas. (Zappos just happened to continue to put different models on sale through the shopping season, which made them a better buy.) I usually wear 8.5 or 9 and an 8 fits perfectly so order at least one half size smaller than usual. Take care and spray them well with protectant before wearing. I've accidentally slashed mud and even oil on mine and they clean up nicely if sprayed before wearing. They're not inexpensive, but this is a really good shoe.
I love this shoe overall. I have two other color ways. This color way is my least favorite. The yellow bottom and the green bottom are my preferred colors. Other than color, this is one of my all time favorites. The fit is spectacular for my foot and the comfort is second to none.
Had been eying these for a while when they went on sale here so I snatched them up. I was looking for a replacement for my well-worn and on-their-way-out Bass bucks which I loved a lot. I had to return/reorder these from Zappos as the first pair I got had one shoe with pretty sketchy suede. Maybe that's why they were on sale, but there was a noticeable difference between the quality and color of each shoe. The second pair I got was much better. These shoes are supremely comfortable, and were the perfect upgrade in what I was looking for. The eyelets are set farther up the shoe, making getting into them a little bit more difficult but ultimately providing a more snug fit; usually I don't like to hide laces under my pants (I don't wear super skinny jeans) but these have worked perfectly. Definitely a bit more of a casual look versus dark brown/black leather shoes, but for my office purposes they are perfect; look great paired with dark denim or khakis. I generally wear a size 9 1/2 or 10 shoe, but after trying on a 10 in a store and swimming in them, I went with the 9.5. They are still just a touch big, but I think a 9 would be too tight. My foot, too, is on the wider side which makes shopping for dress shoes tricky as they are usually on a narrow footbed, but I have had no trouble with these. The only tricky part now is the transition between brand new and clean and well-worn and loved.
Probably one of the most stylish shoes I've owned. And the grey suede (with blue soles) goes really well with a variety of jeans (blue, black, red). Well worth the price!
The most handsome black leather chukka you can get at this price. The leather is very nice, supple and high quality. The green stripe is funky! I love that this is made in the USA with Goodyear welting. Also comes with a cloth shoebag. My only minor feedback is I might replace the laces with something more tactile (I prefer chunkier laces to the thin dress shoe types supplied), also that you need to tie these quite tight as the ankle width at the top of the boot is maybe 1/8" wider than I like. Otherwise, I look forward to more styles from this brand, which was new to me.
Nice shoes, seem well made, the grey suede is a true grey color. I was out in some light rain and the rain spotted the suede, but a suede brush returned the finish to its original nap.
Meh. These things are pretty clunky, was hoping to get some new kick for work...these are too expensive for what feels like a boot. Also, there was a warning sticker on the bottom saying they contained lead. Lead?! Why? Stupid.
These have a very fresh look. The green accents are subtle and the suede upper leans more bluish than tan. The sole also has a nice amount of give which means steps are surprisingly soft.
