Most of the reviews that I read suggested a size smaller, I disagree. I wish that I would have ordered my usual size. I have wide feet and these shoes feel too narrow. Probably because I ordered a size smaller as suggested...

These have been the best boots that I have bought for a while. They are not cheap, but they are worth the price in the comfort that they provide. This is why you pay more. My wife loves them and I have had many compliments. They look great with narrow jeans.

Beautiful shoe. But hard to fit. I normally wear a 10. Ordered these in a 9.5 as recommended. Still too big. Tried the 9. Now length is right, but they are too narrow.

These may be the nicest shoes I've ever owned. The fit great especially after a brief break-in period. They look great with jeans, slacks, or a suit. They appear to be made very well. They are expensive, but should have years of wear. Overall, these are great shoes.

On my feet, this boot is almost comically the wrong size. The length is over an inch too long while the width is far too narrow across the ball of my foot. I wear a solid 9D in Allen Edmonds and this shoe in an 8.5D is nowhere close to fitting properly (both too long and too narrow).

Love this shoe/sneaker! People are always commenting on them and are so surprised when I tell them it is actually a dress sneaker.

The shoe looks awesome and it fit very well. Little to no breaking in needed. It is very comfortable and can be worn for long durations. I would recommend this shoe to anyone.

Felt really nice but way too tight around mid foot (arch/outside). Nice looking. Hard to put feet into the shoe, hole is too small.

To Boot's site says order 1/2 size down. I generally a 8.5, and have ordered 8 in other To Boots, but needed a 7 in this shoe (had to return it twice to get the right fit). The shorter length of the 7 resulted in an uncomfortable tightness on the sides and top of my feet. For whatever reason, lacing the shoes "Shoe Shop" instead of "Over Under" produced a comfortable fit. The "Cognac" leather is handsome and of nice quality. Man-made sole at this price is unusual for me. Presumably it'll last and be simple to repair.

I wear a 13 in every shoe I own. I couldn't even get these on my feet. I checked the box and the label twice thinking they'd sent me a 10 or 11. I've had a few pairs of Adam Derrick shows and were happy with the style, quality, and the way they held up. I have to say the leather on those was very poor quality -- looked like what you would expect for a pair of shoes at that price. What I call 'bologna' leather. Like a bad veneer. They were going back regardless of the way they fit. Too bad the leather looks nothing like the photo -- because the look awesome in the photo.

To Boot New York Carter in Black is a great classic business / business casual shoe. Sturdy structure, real leather and breaks in easily. I would spend the extra money because it will outlast the cheaper shoes saving you more money in the end. Very happy with this purchase worth every extra penny.

Bought the Cognac version and it's a beautiful boot and soft lovely leather. Full size too small, otherwise a gorgeous shoe.

I really wanted to love this shoe, but I made the mistake of purchasing a pair of Bruno Magli shoes as well. I have to say that the Brunos are much better and here is why: they are simply lighter and more supple. I feel the To Boots are just too stiff in comparison. Do yourself a favor and order both brands and then decide.

Buyers beware. When I initially put on the shoes, they felt fine both in terms of comfort and size. However, within 45 minutes of wearing them (with socks) they managed to burn/blister off the skin on both of my heels, right where the Achilles tendon is. I've never had this happen before, and my hunch is that its due to this overlapping strip of rough leather that overlaps the edge into the shoe. I think this creates a surprising amount of friction and chafing as compared to every other shoe I've ever worn. I'm not sure if everyone will have this problem, but I couldn't in good conscience omit this from my review. However! The shoes do look amazing. So if you have a high tolerance for pain, you can't go wrong.

Spectacular shoe, leather quality is amazing. Hurt my feet for the first month of wearing but I am highly active in my dress shoes, lots of walking. After the month break in period...Wow...the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever owned. They are like walking on clouds once worn in, I can't stop recommending these shoes to people. I've owned Allen Edmonds, Charles Tyrwhiits, To Boot New Yorks and these are my favorite even when compared to $500 shoes. Design is simple but the photos don't do the quality justice until you see them in person. Buy these shoes. Guarantee you won't regret the cost, they're worth every penny. I've worn them for 2 years, 2-3 times a week for 8-10 hours shifts walking a lot and they are still in great shape. Creasing is minimal. As soon as I beat these up too much from construction job sites that I walk regularly, I'll be buying another pair.

My size 7 boots fit (I'm a size 8!) Adam did a great job designing - The materials and workmanship are to notch!

Great materials used in these shoes - quality leather and real rubber. The toe is slightly narrow for a sharp look but potentially a too-tight fit. The flat outsole is nice for a naturally smooth step. There is a ton of leather-squeaking noise while walking; I assume the suede version, however, is silent. There is zero arch support.

I love the design of these boots and they're even more beautiful in person. The quality is to be expected. They are a narrow shoe overall. Which works for me.

For the past two years I have worn this shoe by New York Wayne. I wore it so much that I would like to be a spokesperson for this shoe. And I cannot wait to get my next pair.

An excellent captoe-style oxford. And this is actually an oxford. This is the second pair of TBNY shoes I have owned; I have a pair of TBNY's "Brandon's" in brown, too. The Aidan has very soft leather (the Brandon, in contrast, has a slightly stiffer type of leather). I've only worn the shoes about a half dozen times and they feel pretty much broken in. I think the sizing is pretty much spot on. I have a pair of English oxfords which are pricier and Goodyear-welted but the Aidan stands up pretty well.

Delivered as expected. Been wearing them weekdays through my 3 hour commute and 9 hour workday - they are forming to my feet and feel like slippers. Great shoes!
