I was on a mission to find sandals that were kind of like sneakers for my seven year old son to wear to summer camp. Summer camp only allows sneakers, but I try to keep sneakers (or any closed type shoe) off his feet in the summer... for my benefit. These sandals are like sneakers, with the closed toe and heel. Yet like sandals with the vents and no laces. They have great tread and great style. My son and I love them and seem to be holding up well so far.
I'd also recommend: Keen

I bought this shoe thinking it would fit my son's wide foot with a very high instep...not the case. Very nice looking, similar to a Keen, but didn't look as well made for the price. I liked that it seemed to have more open spaces for breathability. I wish it would have worked, but had to send it back!
I'd also recommend: Keen
