Adorable and comfy Mary Janes. The adjustable strap is nice. Nice for a little extra height. I can tell they will need a tad bit of breaking in regarding the edges at the toe (the tops of my feet hurt a bit,) but I don't expect it to take more than a day or two.

These shoes are so great looking and fun to wear! They make me feel like dancing. I've gotten lots of compliments; ("I like your kicks," says my niece.) I ordered them for the appearance, but also for the wide toe box (needed after bunion surgery), and the arch support. The arch is built way up, with the heel raised a little, but no padding in the forefoot. I ended up with bruised bones under the ball of my foot. I then purchased high quality innersoles at a running shoe store (not cheap), where they explained that the innersoles that came with the shoe are really not good, functionally. So, $50-some dollars later, I am happily enjoying my stylin' sneakers.

I love the style of this boot and hoped that it would work for me. The boot was a little close-fitting, but would soften. The big problem for me was that the arch was not in right place (too far back). My heart is broken!

The shoe was a bit snug when it arrived, and comparing it to other shoes I own it ran a little smaller in the toe and width. I think ordering a half size larger would have fixed the issue, but they do not offer 10.5.

I'm wearing these now because I love them so much I don't want to take them off! If you like Taos sandals in the summer - this could be your go to fall shoe. The Taos footbed has great arch support and the knit cover is too cute. Can wear barefoot or with a light sock. PS thanks again to Zappos whose free shipping allowed me to return a couple of duds before finding this shoe!

Love these shoes! They are extremely comfortable, and perhaps most importantly I don't end up thinking about them when I am wearing them. Shoes that draw my attention because they are causing pain or are slippery or require me to devote extra attention to them on uneven surfaces annoy me, and I love that I can put these on and forget about them other than when I occasionally realize that my feet are particularly comfortable. I have low ankle bones, which means that the sides of a lot of styles of shoes cut under the ankle bone. These have low enough sides that this isn't a problem. There is enough cushioning that I can walk or stand a lot and not have sore feet. The leather is very supple, so I had no breaking in period. I have problems with balance, and the treads on these shoes grip well enough that they help to keep me stable and I've had no problems with slipping on slick surfaces. Overall I am very happy and would order these again.

These shoes feel amazing so I'm going to keep them but the Burnt Orange photo is WAY off for color. The shoes are more of a honey color. Definitely not the bright saturated orange I was looking for.

These are beautiful shoes. They are comfortable inside. Really cute. My feet are narrow and especially hard to fit. My heel kept slipping up in a way that I knew would annoy me over time, so I had to return them. Boohoo!

These are cute (kind of) if you're looking for brown boots. But...they're brown, and I had ordered the gray. I guess their excuse for calling them gray was a slight bit of grayish hue in the decorative buckle straps...or something. In an event, they're going back. I can report also that other customers' experience with the fit is roughly consistent with mine. I could have worn them, but they would have been slightly tight in the toe box, and not all that comfortable.

Comfortable, but requires a short break in period. It rubbed on my heel the first few wears. I added a cute peacock feather shoe clip to dress it up for an outdoor wedding.

The Taos Stellar are really cute booties. Unfortunately they are a bit too flat and you have to double tie the shoe strings so they do not come untied. The bonus is that I can use my Orthotics in the booties. These are great with jeans.

I would have kept these but the ball of my left foot felt like it wanted more cushion than this shoe provided. I had bunion surgery two years ago and have little flexibility in that joint. Otherwise The arch and heel felt great. The hugged my foot just perfectly and didn't interrupt my stride. The leather was soft and of a quality I'd expect in a shoe at this price. I wish they would have worked for my feet and 10 hour standing work days.

Very comfortable, cute, slipper-like shoe. True to size, but had to return because the arch support "bump" is further forward than my arch curve.

Love it. I got taos Samba a while back in red- it was a splurge but it was just the most gorgeous shoe I couldn't help it, and glad I did. This shoe has the same lower-half construction, so I knew what to expect in terms of fit and feel. It's not super soft or padded, but excellent quality and very comfortable. I love that it has the look of a heel, but really doesn't feel like a heel and only adds a bit more an an inch of height. Being a tall woman (6 ft), this is important to me. I bought a similar pair to this a while back, wanting this same feminine black oxford look for slightly dressy occasions, versatile to wear with almost anything-- and that pair, although also adorable, just had too much of a heel to be practical and I don't wear them often. These I can walk in comfortably, my feet don't hurt at the end of the day, and I don't feel like I'm towering over people. Much more practical and still super cute and dressy. Hooray! Worth the investment.

Beautiful shoe, mink color is very contemporary. Problem: toe box of shoe is shaped for big toe being the longest. My second toe is the longest, so it bumps the top of the shoe. Returning for 1/2 size larger because I love the shoe!

I ordered this show based on (albeit only two reviews at the time) the high rating on support. I found this show to have zero arch support, I do have high arches but this shoe I could place a finger between the space of the support and my arch. I also found the heal on the shoe very "tippy" and saw an ankle twist waiting to happen. It is a cute shoe but I have to rate this per my experience.

I bought these in pewter and they are very cute shoes. I love the support too! I am going to Disney in a few weeks and want something supportive but not clunky looking. While I haven't trekked everywhere yet, I have a feeling I will be very pleased. I do wish they made 1/2 sizes though. I usually wear a 8.5 in sandals and that would have been the perfect fit. I went down to an 8 and the length fits well but I could use a few more cm of strap length so you didn't see the velcro...but they work.

These shoes were very cute and comfortable, but I couldn't get over the fact that the rhinestones stop for the "taos" on the strap. Unless you're looking closely, it just looks like the stones have fallen off. I returned and bought the same style shoe from Taos in pewter.

I have searched quite a while for a comfortable heeled shoe with a strap. I've never ordered shoes on line because the likelihood of buying just what I wanted, without trying on, seemed impossible. I think one day Zappos just popped up, with something close to what I wanted. I was so excited to visit the site and find what appeared to be several shoes in my category! First, I have foot problems, with one foot often in pain or cramps, due to a nerve problem. Also, as I've gotten older, it seems if I get my necessary size, the heel slips when I walk. I held my breath and tried them on, and presto, it seemed a mirace! I know this is dramatic, but to find a shoe with strap, that looks cute, and not "too old lady", and feels fabulous, is an answer to prayer! I soon will be browsing your site again for a brown pair and possibly a navy, if that is possible. LOVE my shoes!

Comfy, cute, the strap width is just right, and I love velcro closing. Sizing is generous. I really like the slightly distressed grey leather, with the antiqued pewter buttons. I am new to Taos shoes, but just ordered a pair of boots that are also very comfy and casual.

I love the way these shoes look and really wanted to keep them. I even ordered them in different sizes to try to get the right fit. I typically wear a 7.5/8. After trying on an 8 in a local store, and finding it tight, I decided to try out several sizes on Zappos (8.5 & 9). They have a very similar fit to clogs: tight on the toe, loose in the back. I couldn't get the balance right so that they fit the front and back of my foot equally well. Other reviewers also mentioned this issue. They also reminded me of clogs in terms of their hardness. They were very uncomfortably hard. And yet they also ran narrow; when I tried to add a more cushiony insole, the ball of my foot was squeezed in all the sizes I tried. I finally had to send them back! Such a shame. I would not recommend this shoe to people with "problem" feet as you will likely have a hard time getting a comfortable fit.
