I love this knife! It is the perfect size and makes my cutting chores much easier. I do not have a lot of strength in my wrist and is very easy to handle and of course, quite sharp! We do a lot of cooking and spend a lot of money on our kitchen accessories. Well worth the price!

Very sharp and lightweight. The blade is thinner than a traditional blade and falls through the food easier. Very high quality knife, worth every penny!
Do not buy this blade guard! First of all, I purchased the size that should fit up to a 10 inch blade, not the case. My 8 inch shun knife doesn't even come close to fitting correctly. Within a week or so the magnets peeled off, and now I have to keep sticking them back in which keeps it from now closing. I love shun, just not this product.

I was a bit skeptical because I usually like Santoku-style knives, and this one comes to such a thin point, but I absolutely love it, use it way more than I thought I would as a utility knife. It is super sharp, my new favorite.

This knife is awesome. My wife loves the relatively small size and contoured handle. It is super sharp. We just got for a Christmans gift and it has become the family's favorite

These are the best knives that I have ever owned and they wash well in the dishwasher, but why dose the block have to be so humongous and take up so much space on the counter and less than attractive. I put the knives in the drawer, now I wish that they came with a sheath.
This is a super knife for getting parsley or herbs super fine and dry, or mincing finer veggies like shallots or garlic. Or making teensy strips of citrus peel for zest or candied peel. Beware, If you are in the habit of brushing food off your knife blade with your hands, you will want to rethink that, as you can cut yourself on this uber sharp blade edge. I also have the 7" shun premier santoku, perfect for onions, root veggies and larger volume chopping jobs, but a bit big for a clove or two of garlic. All my other knives are Global, I love the light weight and even weight distribution across the range, and have had the same set for about 8 years. But they are far softer than Shun which makes them less likely to chip but needing sharpening more frequently. I would not dare to sharpen these hammered Shun blades myself. Also, I would not store them in a knife block either vertical or horizontal - they deserve a knife magnet. They are gorgeous to behold and weightier than global but not in a bad way. You can do transparent slices of carrot with complete control and no "ka-chunk" onto your chopping block with this and the santoku. Very impressive line. They are new to me, and I will have to see how they wear over time.

The Ken Onion line is unique bc it of the ergonomic handle and blade positioning. The Santoko knife is perfect for slicing and chopping produce bc of the blade. Great weight.

Great knife; been using Henckels for a long time and was told by a knife sharpening person that my knife will tolerate a couple more sharpening, so I had to find another knife and sharper knife so I can cut tomatoes and bell peppers effortlessly. Benefit about this knife is that its hollow edge allows the food to slide off. Read the literature that comes with the knife though because it does not recommend cutting on marble which is what I have, so I had to purchase a cutting board, which was no problem as I plan to use this knife for years. Great handle and feel of the knife when I hold the knife and not as heavy as the Henckels but is a great workhorse in the kitchen.
I bought this as a gift for my son-in-law who is a professional chef. He was very pleased with it and considers it a superior product. He has another Shun Premier knife, a chef's knife.
Nice size (length and width). The board is thin and I expected something a bit more substantial for the price. The wood is soft and marks / cuts easily when using the board but this also means that that board is not damaging the edge on the knife. So I guess the board may not last as long as I would have liked but the knife edges will last longer. The board stand is nice to have.

These knives are absolutely great! I really disliked the holding unit for them. It is much too large. If they would have made a clear block rather than this massive oval thing it would have been much better. I even removed the massive thing and threw it out. My awesome knives, though are still on the counter, but in a vase which is much more appreciative of my counter space.

My new knife set is awesome! Yes, the acrylic "block" is a bit large but the knives are too pretty to store in a drawer! So far I have found the knives to be quite sharp and very useful! Great purchase overall.

Great knives, super sharp. My only complaint is that they aren't labeled at all, so I have to try to remember what I use each one for, which takes away from the color coding system. But no functional complaints.

Best knives we have ever owned. Super sharp and very easy to clean. Won't corrode like all my other "stainless" knives have in the past. The block is a tad big but it is still works and looks great. Would recommend these knives to anyone.

I purchased these knives for my wife for Christmas. She was very pleased with how they look. The bin is perhaps a bit bulkier looking than I'd prefer. However, the knives are super-sharp. They would be better if they could be put in the dishwasher. And I'm a little concerned that they look like toys are but are so sharp. Beware with little children in the kitchen. Otherwise, they appear to be a great set of knives.

Amazing product! My mom bought some about a year ago and I've wanted them ever since. When I saw that they were on sale, I had to get them! Best part is, I got them in about two days! Super fast shipping!

I also bought these knives because they were so cute. I get tired of drab kitchen accessories so I wanted something fun. I ordered these knives and love them! They are fun and I love using them. They only thing that I don't like is when you put the knife back into the block the blade can hit the plastic and scratch it a little, but it is barely noticeable. Everyone compliments them when they come over!

An amazing knife! How did I ever live without it? (rhetorical) Cooking has almost become a joy, slicing takes barely any time and energy. The indentations on the sides really help when cutting 'sticky' food, like potatoes or hard cheeses.

I admit that I ordered these knives just because they are cute. My husband and I have been amazed at the quality! We have bought a lot of expensive knives, and none of them work this well. We are truly impressed!

I must admit that I bought these knives because I thought they were cute. My husband and I are both surprised at how well they work. We have bought very expensive knives that don't work this well. We are both very impressed!
