I have worn these on casual hikes thus far, nothing technical (no scrambling, etc). These are great shoes. Excellent fit and support and good traction. It's all an approach shoe is supposed to be. I found the regular Zen too narrow, especially in the toe box, these are sized much better. The color might be a little too loud for causal wear but once they get dirty, they'll be fine!

I just ordered a second pair of these today. I purchased the first pair about a month ago. They are very comfortable and take care of a foot issue that I have on one foot. I like the stiffer Vibram sole which gives more support than other casual "tennis" I've had. I wish there were more colors to select from. Then I could be color coordinated 24/7.

I hiked through the Alps with these shoes, and they provided the relatively lightweight support I needed for such an endeavour. I also wore then in the cities. My feet became a little warm on the hotter days, but for the most part, these shoes proved their versatility and quality. I'm very happy with my purchase.

These are nice looking shoes, and would fit most people well. I have specific arch requirements, and these shoes, though having good support throughout, did not have any pronounced arch, and so I returned them rather than buying an insert.

Purchased these for an upcoming Himalayan trek. So far, have done a couple of day hikes in them. They feel very sturdy but not too stiff, and I felt no hot spots or rubbing that could turn into a problem. I purchased them a half size larger than my regular shoe size (in running shoes I go a whole size up). They feel nice and roomy in the toe box. On the minus side: The laces are pretty short for double knotting, and the color is not my favorite, but that's not as important to me in this case as comfort. Overall, two thumbs up.

These are about the best hiking boots I've ever owned. They are extremely comfortable with good ankle support. My measured size is 12.5 and it is nearly impossible to find good shoes in 12.5, so the fact that these came in European sizes allowed me to find the perfect fit (46.5) for my feet in a way that would be improbable with American shoes. I'm not wild about the color but that's nitpicking. Highly recommended.

Reasonably comfortable and attractive sport/casual shoe. They run very small for their size. I returned first pair to step up a size, and the second pair were slightly tight.

Love this shoe. Very comfortable and fits me well. Would defiantly try another shoe from this brand again. Great looking shoe that could be worn casually or on the trail.

I went through about 8 other pairs of shoes trying to find an approach shoe that fit right. After all the other attempts, I absolutely love this shoe. It fits great! It's a solid shoe! Snug and light. And I even love the way it looks. Total Bonus!

Awesome shoe, right out of the box. Literally took them out of the box and went on vacation to Zion NP through the creeks of the narrows and into the Grand Canyon and Bryces NP Fairyland trails. They are the most comfortable shoes from Scarpa I have ever owned. The traction is phenomenal, they hold tight on wet rocks and they look great. Hope they stay around for a long time as I will be back for more of these in a few years.

Bought these for my husband and he absolutely loves them. He said they are very, very comfortable. He wears them everywhere. I love the look of them too! Fit true to size.

I thought I would try these since I need a wider shoe and its unisex sizing. For some reason, these seem to have an unusual shape at top by toe, as you walk it seems like it bends at a top at point can create fricton. Its a funky look, and worth trying possibly if you have had success with Scarpa fit. Worth trying of need wider than B width!

Great boot. There are certainly other quality options but a proper fit is always my issue. I'm an 11.5 with a high instep so I generally need to order a wide width. In search of a heavier duty hiker/backpacker, I tried Vasque Bitterroot, St Elias, Breeze and Taku. Also tried Asolo Flame, Zamberlin Vioz, Lowa Renegade. My light hiker has for years been Keen Targhee II mid and they are very lightweight and comfortable (Salomon X Ultra was too narrow even in wide width). My old Vasques and Asolos started feeling tight -- I suppose due to getting older and foot is changing. All the boots I said I tried I ordered from Zappos and where they came in wide widths I ordered a wide. Every pair seemed to taper the toe box causing a pressure point on small toe. Then I'd try a size 12 and they would swim on me. These Scarpas actually come in an 11 2/3 size and fit perfect. Not listed as a wide but definitely felt wider than other brands who actually make wides. Lacing system is phenomenal allowing custom lower and upper tensions . Climbed Glen Onoko falls in Jim Thorpe PA and ten miles on AT and they handled rocks, water etc. really well. Awesome mid weight boot! Zappos hassle free return policy allowed me to try on every boot I liked until I found the perfect fit!

Like all well-made Italian shoes, Scarpa continues to shine! I used to hike and boulder and climb, but Lyme Disease took that away. So, I bought these shoes for walking on the dirt roads where I live. At first, like most leather/suede shoes with firm support, they needed some break-in. They are breaking in nicely and conforming to my foot like a custom shoe. The more I wear and walk in them, the more comfortable they become. I love the Scarpa Mojito shoe and will likely buy it in another color, too! As an approach shoe, you won't be disappointed, I'm sure. Scarpa has long made climbing and approach shoes and they have this nailed. So, if you want this shoe for what it's intended for, buy it, and if you just want it for its great looks, great color choices and walking around town, you'll be happy with them, too! Best for low-volume feet, not for high-arched feet. Lacing down to the toe provides the ability to really get a custom-like fit. Roomy toe box...remember that your feet will swell as the day progresses, so allow for that. Little arch support built into the shoe, so I recommend adding a good orthotic. Super high-quality shoe regardless!

I bought this shoe last minute for a vacation that I knew I would be walking a lot. It couldn't have worked out any better. The shoe was comfortable and held up great.

Bought these shoes on June 3 2014, it is now July 11 and a hole appeared during a hike, located on the inside of the left shoe, above the rubber toe guard. The leather has about a 2" tear, exposing the inside of the shoe. I would say these are not durable and not suitable for approach as they fell apart so quickly. I would not recommend them.

Wanted some multi-use walking shoes that I could also hike and garden in. These are very comfortable. Did a short 3 mile hike with no pain or chafing. Would prefer a bit more arch support but perhaps it's time for an insert. Would recommend.

I am recently retired Army. 21 years of wearing boots has taught me one thing. Don't chintz on the quality of your shoes. And that doesn't mean cost...it means quality and build. How they feel on your feet. And these are great! I haven't had them "too" long but I've done some walking around downtown and stood during some FIFA matches at public viewings. My feet don't hurt. They ran pretty much true to size and with Zappos return policy you can't go wrong. They have awesome grip as well. Great as a hiking shoe. Actually I think that's what they are touted abut I'm not sure. I have zero complaints about this shoe and will look in the future to by other shoes or boots from Scarpa.

Great looking with a nice athletic feel. Good support and can be worn with both casual dress or even with a light weight suit more formally. Very impressed with Scarpa. My wife and I both have Scarpa Crux approach shoes, fantastic hiking shoes!

Very comfortable, looks great. The tongue cuts a little into my ankle, but it's not super noticeable after wearing for a while. I imagine it will soften with time.

Awesome solid quality made shoe. Not that great for hot weather, but fall and winter it's perfect. Fits true to size, and the wide toe box gives your feet space and a solid foundation.
