These are cool shoes and the color is very versatile. I'm a drummer and bought these specifically for gigging. They are great to play in and I always feel hip when I have them on. They are also very well made. I originally ordered these in my normal size based on the majority of reviews that said "true to size." They looked small out of the box and were definitely snug so I went a half size larger. I prefer shoes to fit on the small side anyway and after I wore the larger size for awhile I felt that maybe I'd made the wrong choice and re-ordered the 1/2 size smaller. Definitely still too small.

These are the greatest shoes! I bought them for travels in Europe, to have a shoe for hiking but could wear with shorts or a skirt if need be. I am since home and wear them for all of my workouts, including my fitness martial art class, hiking, sometimes even running. I can wear them all day and evening and my feet never get tired! They are the best fitting walking/hiking/exercise shoe I have ever purchased. I love the yellow color, different! And the look of the shoe is a bit European so I fit in a bit better while traveling. I get endless compliments on them and have passed the name on to many people. Don't ever stop making them! I am glad to see other colors offered now too. Run, don't walk to buy a pair, you won't regret it!

Wanted something a little more lightweight and flexible than a traditional approach shoe and this is perfect for that. The sole is cushioned enough so you don't beat yourself up on a long descent, but not so much that they make you unstable when carrying a heavy pack on rocky terrain. I've gone running in these and would not recommend them for that, but for anything from heavy pack approaches to day hiking in the summer time they're great.

Nice looking shoe and sturdy as they come, better for walking the hard streets mixed with a bit of desert trail than standard running shoes. Stiffer than any running or walking shoe that I own. The bad thing is that they are so narrow that I have to use them very loosely tied. Sole is very grippy and great for trail walking or running.

I own several pairs of non-climbing Scarpa. These are great cold-weather urban and rural walking/hiking shoes. I hope this won't be my only pair because they really last and take punishment.

These boots are gorgeous. I'm a female with big feet so I was very excited to find these boots. I bought mine because they are waterproof. I am not going to hike or do anything super active in these boots, but they have amazing grip and keep me on my feet in the slush. The ankle support is really good too. The one complaint I have so far, is that they aren't even a little bit insulated. My toes become frozen in just a few minutes, even with thicker socks on.

Ordered the 8.5 which is what I usually wear. True to size in length, but tight in width, little loose in heal, otherwise comfortable. I didn't care for the red as it's not my color, but they do look much better then on the website, not as "bright." And I went with the other review, comfort over color. I will try a 9 and hope they fit.

I wear 9.5 American and the Euro size 43 fits fine. Shoe is of moderate width but I can cinch it up snug on my very narrow foot w/ provided lacing. Fits comfy w/o break-in.

Excellent shoe with a couple drawbacks. The comfort is very good out of box. Long lace-up design for a fit unique to your foot shape. Sticky outsoles. Slightly wide-looking. Suede isn't a great choice for multi-purpose use; full-grain option would be ideal. The style of the shoe is minimal and clean-looking but these look like ladies' shoes in person, when wearing.

Comfortable right out of the box. Great styling - this is scarpa's sneaker with a hiking boot style. Don't expect much in the way of traction, the sole is relatively smooth. Perfect for walking around in colder weather.

Exceptional fit and finish with these sharp looking sneakers. Works well with jeans or khakis. Solid feeling shoes. Well made. Took a few wears for them to break in, but no discomfort during that period, rather they felt a bit stiff at first. Now they are really comfortable. My first pair in this brand but won't be my last. Not inexpensive but worth the price in my view.

Versatile footwear for active people who appreciate quality. The Epic performs admirably at whatever job its wearer gives it. Well constructed; attention was paid to how this shoe envelops the foot. A solid platform overall.

This is my second pair of these shoes, and frankly they are so hard wearing, I find I'm still using the original pair for the weekends. Think of these shoes as an upscaled chuck, which are perfectly at home in smart casual office settings, but which also have the grunt and build to get you through a long commute in any weather, on street or trail. I applied one coat of water proofing to the uppers last year, and they still look great. Size runs true. If you like their understated style, these babies won't disappoint.

Very good approach show. I'm using it mainly for scrambling class 3. Excellent grip on bolder and steep slopes. This is my second pair, I use the first one quite intensively. Shoe is comfortable, however it hurts if you wear it for more than 2-3 hours hiking unless you loose up the strings.

My husband loves his Scarpa hiking boots, so we thought these would be great for casual wear. He liked everything about them, except in just wearing them around the house, he found them to be very hot and not at all breathable (not usually a problem for him). Unfortunately, we had to send them back.

After trying 15 different kinds of hiking shoes I finally found this one! This is my second Scarpa shoe and it continues to be my favorite fit. I have a long narrow foot and Scarpa seems to be the fit for me. This shoe is great for hiking. A true fit, water proof, warm and did not require a break in period, fit from the moment I put it on.

Great boots! My oldest son has had Scarpa hiking boots for 3-4 years and he loves them. Purchased these for another son for Christmas. Great quality, very comfortable. The color is rather light but I suspect that they will darken over time.

I just want to respond to the review above; I don't work for Scarpa but I am a fan of their shoes. These are rock climbing specific shoes, they are not meant to be walked around in. The natural environment for these shoes is vertical, not horizontal. Climbers typically wear a second pair of shoes to get to and from the cliffs, and change into these for the rock climb only. They are meant to fit like a gloves with no air space around the foot anywhere so that when you are standing on small rock edges they won't roll on your foot. The Techno is an all-around climbing shoe, which is what they mean by "all-day comfort" but this does not mean they are comfortable compared to any typical athletic shoe.

Fit: Narrow in the toe area. I have a standard to wider foot and my toes were squeezed together, which is a no-no for long distance shoes. The heel and middle sections felt great though. Make sure you take a narrower toe box before getting too excited about these otherwise awesome shoes. Overall: These are really great shoes for outdoor pursuits. I personally think Scarpa hit the nail on the head for an all around mountain terrain shoe. They strike a balance between agility and toughness. Good looking as well.

Light, comfortable from the first day (no need to break them in), good grip on slippery surfaces, good original arch support, and toe box high enough to accommodate orthopedic liners. The only criticism I would have that the ties could have been a bit longer. I recommend them highly.

These shoes are an absolute disaster. I ordered 11½ even though I normally wear a size 11. When I opened the box, they appeared to be boys shoes. I got a replacement order of the same shoes at 12½. They did not work either. The third try was a shipment of a size 13. That was still too small! I took them to my shoemaker who has been in business 30 years. He said they were incredibly small and would not even fit his size 8½ feet. He said they could not be stretched either in width or length because of the material used on the shoe. After three tries they were still about 1" too short and a C width instead of a D width. I returned them for a full refund. This was very disappointing as they are nice looking athletic shoes.
