I wear a 7 Wide Size 38 was too big. Size 37 okay. The heels slip out a little. The right toe hits the front. I am told by colleagues that these shoes will stretch out. I will put a heel slip pad in.

Cute, polished, a step up from the look of the professional Sanita clogs. But very disappointed they don't have the same excellent arch support as my old Sanitas. Kept anyway, because they look sharp and are comfortable regardless. Note that top of shoe, above instep, extends far up toward the ankle, which took a little getting used to.

About me: size 10, sometimes 9.5, high arch/instep, narrow heel. I tried these in both 40 and 41. I guess the 41 was the best fit. However, I expected there to be sufficient space for my arch/instep, but sadly not. My toes fell asleep in just a few minutes of trying the on. These have no arch support at all - and with the pressure on my instep, there was no way to add an orthotic. Do like the glossy leather, I would have worn them with dress clothes instead of heels. Went with the Sanita Daleany instead.

About me: Size 10, sometimes 9 1/2. High arch and instep, narrow heel. I tried these clogs in both 40 and 41, turns out the 41 fits about as perfectly as I'm going to get. Love the arch support. The polished leather will look good with dress clothes for work. They are light weight, and there is enough room for my instep so my toes don't fall asleep. (Unlike the Nikita's which I also tried; confusingly they are very tight across my instep and my toes fell asleep in a few minutes, plus they have zero arch support. Strange choice for Sanita.) I tried both Black and Ocean, hoping the Ocean meant a deep blue. Unfortunately, it is a deep blue-green. Nice enough color, but I will go with the black ones.

Horrible shoes. Uncomfortable and hurt my feet and toes. My toes hurt so bad after wearing these for a few hours that I was limping badly in pain. The shoe rubbed across the top of my foot with each step. And it became excruciating. I love Koi pants but these shoes are the worst. I wanted to try them even though I can't stand Dansko but I thought maybe they were different. Same company same uncomfortable shoe. I will stick with the best shoe for comfort: Klogs! Oh, and I sent them back. Too bad, they were really cute. Can't wear this uncomfortable shoe at a busy hospital for 12 hour shift.

I wear a size 39 Dansko so I thought to order the same size. I had to return 39 and order a 40 Sanita Perfect fit, awesome clog.

I have been buying Sanita's for years now. Sanita Basil is the perfect go to shoe. It's true to size and has a decent arch support.

I stay with the croco version because it does not stretch over time. While on my feet 10 hours a day 7 days week for 7-8 months a year, they are my go-to shoe. As a I rarely keep them in full rotation more than a year. The leather versions always stretch too much and become to loose and therefore lose ankle support. What that means is more attention to stairs and uneven surfaces, so if you are planning on using them in a tough environment my recommendation is to struggle with the Croco sizing which tends to be a little snugger for longer but holds its shape better in the long run.

Outstanding! I had to give up my red Dansko clogs because the instep was so painful...I've looked at these for quite awhile, just not brave enough to go patent and unsure about the sizing. Well, my students love the bright red. I followed advice and sized up; Dansko 40wide fits me well, so I went with the 41 and am pleased with the comfort and fit. I remember years ago, a little old lady (think Gnome) told me a lady should always have a pair of red shoes in her wardrobe. Here's to you, Dorothy!

Love these shoes. I have extremely narrow feet so they are still a bit wider than they probably should be but they feel great. I'd buy another pair in a minute.

I ordered these in brown and they were true to color on the site. When I received them I had been sent a size too big, a 41 rather than 40. The 41's were enormous on me making me question that the 40's would be too. Aesthetically these are very nice looking shoes. They felt like they had the potential to be very comfortable but hard to tell because they were so big on me. For what this is worth.

Loved these sassy things! They look fabulous with jeans! I have wide feet and they fit perfectly. Think the comfort of Birkenstocks with an upscale, work and out-with-the-girls friendly look. I would give them 5 stars but the sole completely split in half on one of my shoes, just under the ball of my foot where I step. I'm not sure hard on shoes and I didn't wear them at all during the spring and summer, so they got about a 1/2 a year out of them before they became unwearable. :( I'm so sad about these...

Ordered these yesterday & just got them. Nice (regular shipping)! Anyway, here's the backstory: I've been wearing Dansko clogs for years & they're not only my everyday shoe but I love them for serious walking when traveling. They just work really well for my feet. My old pair of brown Dansko's were looking worn so I ordered a new pair - exactly same size, style, color - but when they came they were too big. And squeaked. This was from Amazon. I looked at the reviews & saw several people complaining about the sizing being very different, the squeaking & being unhappy. I returned those & figured I'd give Sanita a try because it seems like the same shoe. The ones I got today fit like the old Dansko's did, they're great! Thank you Sanita & Zappos, and Dansko you need to get on the ball & figure out what's going on with that shoe...something is definitely amiss. By the way, reviews of the Sanita said they were big so to order down, but I ordered my regular size & they're perfect!

I wanted to love these so much. They have gorgeous color and style, but Sanita's shoes are getting narrower every year. These literally hurt my medium-width feet and were so tight that there was no possibility of stretching out enough to be comfortable. Sanita's have been my go-to brand for fit and quality for decades, they still have the quality, but I need to look elsewhere for the fit. While they would be comfortable if I could stay in them, they are marked medium and definitely not medium, hence the three stars for comfort. Some reviewers go larger in size to increase the width, but that puts the arch in the wrong place of my feet and makes them way too long for walking without tripping. Really gorgeous color, style, and quality, though, if they'll fit your feet.

Excellent clog for a person with a high instep. The elastic isn't too obvious or floppy, but provides just enough give to be comfortable and still fit.

This boot runs really large and wide. I wear a 40 in all my other Sanita clogs and this boot was flopping around on my foot so badly that I was afraid it would go flying off when I walked. It might work with really thick boot socks, or if you have a wide foot. I would order down at least one size. The picture makes it look like there is a loop of leather attaching the strap to the boot in the back. That loop is actually part of the strap and nothing is holding the strap in place. It flops around when walking.

Cheap looking and feeling leather. Odd proportions to the Sanita line. WAY too wide (what's up with that?). I was really looking forward to getting these but was disappointed and sent them back.

These are very comfortable but I had to get them stretched. They were way too tight in the instep & after 9 hours of work I was miserable. I'm getting lots of complements on them.

After Dansko discontinued my favorite red patent leather finish I finally caved and ordered a pair of Sanitas, and was not disappointed! They do feel a little narrower than Danskos, but they broke in faster and seem a little lighter, which is great! These have a subtle glitter and marbled pattern that is gorgeous.

I have worn Sanita size 40 for years, but these were small in all directions. Also, the color is much browner than in the photo. I was looking for dark red and they are more of a red brown.
