I got these specifically for walking my dogs. I'm a fast walker. Wow, are they comfortable. And they also felt really supportive in all the right places. Usually, I add in arch supports, but I see no need here. I wear a 9 or a 9 1/2, but I got a 9 here.

I usually take a 10 so I bought a 10 1/2, too small in toe area, narrow and too shallow. I need height in toe area to breathe. I forgot to try on socks. But with 10 1/2 it is impossible to put on socks. I wish they made it in a wider width.

I'd also recommend: I'm a fan of Vasque hiking boots.

I saw that this walking shoe got 5 stars and everyone raved about them. They are nice, but I only gave them 4 stars for the following reasons: 1) they are a little short. If you are on the top end of your shoe size, order a 1/2 size up 2) they are definitely breathable! I think they'd be great for indoor walking, or walking in the spring or summer, but for outdoor walking in the fall or winter, your feet might get a little chilled 3) I found there wasn't enough padding for the balls of my feet. I plan on keeping the shoes, because they're not awful, but next time I'll go back to New Balance.

Best walking shoe I've ever owned -- great value too! I always thought New Balance and Asics couldn't be topped, but these shoes were great for me right out of the box. Absolutely no break in time required for me and I usually need it. Couldn't be happier with the shoe or Zappos. I wear size 8 1/2 - 9 in street shoes and 9 1/2 in athletic shoes. The 9 1/2 is perfect for me.

I love these sneakers. They are so comfortable for walking. My first pair got a little rundown after heavy use and I couldn't find them in any store. Then I remembered Zappos. Ordering was easy, delivery quick and I'm happy!
