My son chose these shoes for running and working out with his swim team (their "dry land" workouts). He loves them! He says they're light and extremely comfortable. We found them to run about a half size too large and had to send the size 11 back for a 10 1/2 instead.

I have two pairs of these shoes. I have one to work out in and bought this pair to wear as walking everyday shoes. Couldn't ask for a better fit they seem just a bit narrower than other pair.

First, compliments to Zappos for customer service: my usual size 10 felt very tight and had to swap: the 10.5 size was shipped promptly, in fact three days before they even received my return. Now the shoes: 260 miles in 12 weeks and still in good shape. Very comfortable. Cushioning, what there is, is in the soles, the insoles being paper-thin and basically not there. Such a sandal-with-upper design works well for me. I am using these for training and Mizuno Ekidens for faster runs. Expecting to get about 400 miles from these NB MR10s. Would buy again unless I find similarly minimalistic but more durable shoes. Hoped Mizuno Hitogami would fit this requirement but they proved substandard. If NB can make these MR10 sturdier, they can be a WW Beetle of running shoes and be around a long time.

Based on my delight with other 'Minimus' type shoes from New Balance, I purchased these despite the questionable aesthetics. The others fit well in the same size (12W), but this one just seems to be cut wrong. Too short/narrow at my outer toes. I'm sending them back. I bought the NB MW735 twice, and I wish they were still available. One key feature that I really like with that shoe was that the tongue was not cut - it was sewn into the upper. This made the shoe easy to put on like a slipper. I rarely re-tied the laces, yet they still fit very well. This shoe (MR10V2) and the other Minimus shoe I got earlier this year (MO10v1) don't have that feature, so they have to be tied and untied every time.

This is my third pair of Minimus and they're a big disappointment. After one or two runs, I noticed significant scraping/damage to the soles. I was in touch with Zappos and they sent an exchange pair. The same issue continued. I never had a problem like this with previous Minimus shoes. I have had them less than 3 months and the soles are in bad shape - and I'm not running that much. I'm moving on from Minimus.

I was pretty disappointed and ended up returning them. I ordered an 11.5 EE. I'm usually an 11.5 or 12 but I saw they ran narrow so tried the wide version. They fit pretty strangely, they were really long and the extra width wasn't judiciously applied (half of my foot would be on the sole, part would be off, and there would be a lot of extra sole where no reasonable human's foot would be). The way the uppers are structured are really unforgiving if the fit isn't right too. They tug and wrinkle and didn't look like they'd survive for very long. Back to Nike I guess.
