I love these shoes! I bought them at the Capezio store and had to go a half size up from my street shoe size (I'm a 7 1/2). I dance once a week and I highly recommend these, the arch is super supportive and they're really great for thin feet. Also, if they're uncomfortable in the toe, remember that you have to keep your toe nails really short to wear ballet shoes!

These shoes were not made for sightseeing - I bought these shoes for a ballerina look I saw on the Style Network and they fell apart when I wore them sightseeing around NY. They had no support and got a hole in them and my foot got wet. I would not recommend these shoes unless you are only going to wear them around the office or the house.

Very happy with my purchase. I got the pink Capezio Canvas Juliet upon the recommendation of a professional dancing online friend. They are really comfortable and very nice. I ordered a size up because I have tremendous fluid retention in my feet and I know by the end of the night they swell. I got my shoes in one day after ordering and I love them. I cannot believe that someone would order these and wear sightseeing in NYC. That is just absurd. You obviously must not be a dancer if you buy them off the "Style Network." Well, glad your feet got wet and you realized that those shoes were not made for sightseeing. Try dancing sometime and you'll see that they actually are much better for that. It's called, "Common Sense".

I bought these for my wedding day. I have to wear heels with my job everyday, so I thought it would be nice to just wear some flats. These are great, but order a size up. I should have ordered the 10 not 9 1/2. Thanks.

Great prom shoes for heel-hating teens! My daughter hates shoes with heels, all sandals and the style of most flats. She clomps around in black boots most days. I was at my wit's end regarding prom shoes until I found these! They were great and held up for a night of dancing. They look like they should last a long time still as long as she doesn't wear them on sidewalks and in parking lots. Thank you for the free overnight shipping and the great shoes!

It didn't work before but it does now - I bought a pair of Juliet’s once before when a little desperate for ballet shoes despite the fact that they were too wide through most of the shoe. It fit through the toes but the rest was baggy and they don't make this shoe in a narrow, but I gave it a shot. I just couldn't get the heels stabilized whatever I did with the elastics. Now that I have some foot troubles that make wearing an arch support/heel cushion in the shoes, the Juliet became just the right shoe. It fits squareish shallow toes wonderfully and has plenty of room for the support.

Ballet - Coming from someone without a lot of experience with dance shoes, these are great and give a lot of support. I especially like the extra padding on the heal and the ball of the foot. I ordered my street shoe size as indicated.

Prom shoes.... I needed a flat shoe for my prom dress. Since I am tall, I didn't want any heel at all. They are perfect because they are comfortable and fit well. My dress is long, so you will not be able to see them, but they are still perfect! :)

I agree - Yeah these are a great dance shopes and NO dance shoes are supposed to be worn in "NY sightseeing" I mean seriously! Dance shoes are for DANCING not walking around outside. AND OF COURSE they got wet, THEY ARE CANVAS!!! Some people just don't get the words DANCING and SHOES

Brands I'd also recommend: any split soled ballet shoe

Of course they fell apart! You don't wear ballet slippers and pointe shoes for sightseeing, let alone WALKING! They are designed for DANCING, which employs the use of much smoother and much cleaner (generally speaking) floors than (say) asphalt and concrete.

Size - For future buyers: I wear a nine and a half nike running shoe but wear a ten and a half capezio. Buy one size larger than your street shoe.

They're a dance shoe!!!! They are not made to wear around NYC!!!! Capezio is a great dance shoe maker... but they are not made for "sightseeing around NY"! They are not shoes that you buy for style "for a ballerina look I saw on the Style Network"!!! They are dance shoes and that's what you should do in them. I have worn many, many, capezio shoes and have been very happy with all of them. Come on!

Brands I'd also recommend: other capezio's

Amazing - The best ballet shoe I have ever worn! I have tried every brand available, but once I tried this Capezio shoe I will never go back. The soft cotton lining makes it feel like a bedroom slipper but has the flexibility and fit that I have always been looking for.

Brands I'd also recommend: The leather version will last longer

I have a very wide foot and this was the best fitting pair I tried. It shows off pointed toes well and is light and breathable. Downside. The fabric is pretty thin and won't hold up for long if you dance several times a week.

Canvas Juliet II - I bought this shoe for my wedding this fall because my feet get sore in heels easily, and it is working well so far with my dress and dance practice. I have wide feet, and I found the shoe tight across the top of my foot, but not unbearably so. I feel it was a good bargain for the price and free shipping.

Ballroom Dancing slippers - I bought these for my daughter for her ballroom class. Her instructor suggested that she get ballet type slippers with suede on the sole. I basically got these because they were inexpensive and I could adjust the elastic by sewing them (which I actually learned from reading other reviews). From what I read, ballet shoe sizing can be difficult. I followed the instructions for sizing. They are just a little big, but with a growing kid that is actually desirable. Hope this helps.

I was in the City and happened to stop by a Capezio shop. I tried these on and they were so comfy and the color was pretty. The elastics were attached at the heel already. I went to sew them and the elastic was so cheap feeling. They were too thin. So I finally finished sewing and wore them the next day to class. They got dirty so fast and felt so weak after two wears. The canvas was cheap feeling and the shoe did not feel supportive, but I did like the cushioning in the inside. Then all of sudden pop the presewn elastic came right off. I told my friend who also had the shoe and she said it happened to her too! I would not recommend these shoes unless you plan on buying one every time you dance. Overall I am disappointed.

Technical Difficulties - I loved the way this shoe looked and felt. It is much like the Sansha's that I am used to. However, the shoes developed a hole within the first 3 houtd of wear. This was not the quality that I have come to expect from a name like Capezio.

Brands I'd also recommend: Sansha split-sole canvas

I am a street size 7.5 or 8 and I bought an 8 which fit perfectly snug. These shoes have extra padding which was a nice suprise and the inner lining is very soft. I have had a couple of classes so far and they have been holding up just fine.

This is one of the worst ballet shoes I have ever worn. They are terrible to dance in. I wanted to make the switch from leather to canvas, and clearly that was a mistake. The shoes were so tight. I am normally a 7 and I felt like I was trying to squeeze my foot in them. So uncomfortable. Now I know why I always preferred Bloch dance shoes as opposed to Capezios. If one decides to order these, I would suggest going up an entire size to get a decent fit.

Brands I'd also recommend: Bloch

Quality is great; however, the size is off. My poor feet were cramped in the front and in pain. Believe the size should be at least 1 or 1.5 larger than street shoes.
