This jacket is incredible. I wear it cycling in the low 40s, walking in the low to mid 30s and as additional insulation motorcycling in the low 50s/upper 40s, and it keeps me quite warm. The hood really adds warmth, too. I almost laugh when I put it on because it weighs next to nothing! The outer fabric is very slick, so it layers extremely easily. I ordered the Hoodie in purple, the colors are gorgeous, and I've gotten several compliments. I'm 6' 2'' with a long torso and arms. My only complaints are that the part of the jacket connecting the hood to the shoulders is a little bit strained when I put on the hood and zip it up fully, and the outer fabric seems a bit delicate, but so far no problems. The sleeve length is pretty good, but could be a bit longer to be ideal.

I bought this jacket for my husband for Christmas, and it was a success! That's saying alot because he's the kind of guy that doesn't like a shirt because it has one too many stripes on it. So thank you Patagonia for making this coat. He loves how light weight it is, yet how warm it is. The hoods great for snowy days. And the color was just right. The only thing is that it causes some crazy static, so just be careful with light switches. But it's worth it for such a lightweight warm jacket!

This jacket rocks. My primary use is backpacking and sheep hunting all over Alaska. This jacket keeps me nice and warm. It's a perfect, light insulating layer. The hood is great also, I do not notice it when it’s down, and it’s form fitting when it’s on. I hate really baggy, too large hoods. I dont use down here in Alaska due to the lack of warmth retention when it gets wet. Primaloft retains ~ 96% of its warmth when wet. I have not got the Nano Puff wet yet, but it’s nice to know when I do, I will be warm.

Amazing warmth to weight ratio for a synthetic. Not as warm as my down sweater by Patagonia, but works well enough.
This is my cold and wet insulation layer for ice climbing, snowboarding, and other cold/wet pursuits. Stuffs down pretty small too. And it's purple!!

This jacket is near perfect. I work at an outdoor farmer's market that's open year round doing lots of lifting, setting up stands, lots of time in cold storage, etc. and this jacket is great when its cold outside. It's light enough and breathes well enough so I don't overheat and warm enough for when I'm just standing around outside. When its really cold (like 30s and below), I'll throw on a windproof/waterproof shell and stay nice and toasty. I've had it for about 4 months now and it's proven to be well worth the money. The fit is perfect for me. I'm 6'1'' about 240 and got the XXL. The sleeves are perfect length, and there's enough room to wear a midweight layer underneath. I haven't been camping with it yet, but I have travelled with it and it's packability is incredible. Just be aware that the exterior fabric is not tough like canvas. I caught myself on something sharp and got a small tear, but a little thread goes a long way!

I ordered a Large as I wanted more movement in my arms. As it turned out, the larger sizes just provide more room in the torso area, not in the arms. I am 5'11" and 185 lbs (it's been a rough year) and the Large fit my midsection like a potato sack. I returned it and went with a Medium of a different brand due to limited availability. Medium is my normal size in most jackets. I did notice how much heat this jacket held in from the 10-15 minutes that I was wearing it. I briefly put a hard shell over it and was more than uncomfortable for 50 degree weather. I have no doubt this would work well as a mid layer in freezing conditions.
