Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Very comfortable and lightweight shorts - perfect for traveling. Well made. Fabric slightly stretchy. I usually wear S in Patagonia and these fit me perfectly in S. And they look good.

Love these shorts, yes, they are a bit expensive but high quality lightweight fabric. My only complaint is the buttons - wish they were snaps for longevity. They wash up well, nice longer length.

Perfect hot weather, but good sun coverage shorts! I wore these on vacation in Colombia, and they were so comfortable and flattering! I am pear shaped, (5'8", 150lbs) and these fit very nicely and have flattering back pockets and cargo pockets. Pockets lay very flat so they don't add bulk to areas that don't need it, yet seem to balance out my proportions nicely.

Nice, lightweight short. Size 4 was good for me (123#, 27 inch waist, athletic build). The waist was big and no strings and ties to tighten.

Love these shorts so much I am going to buy another pair. Perfect for warm weather hiking and look good around town too.
