Traveling the globe in search of the best materials for their clothing and gear, Patagonia leads the way with their innovative fabrics and technologies. Quality and performance are top priority with Patagonia. With every garment made by them comes reassurance that it will not only be long lasting, but strong as well.
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1 % of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.
from Chicago, IL
This is a VERY light weight coat. Kind of a "foily" feel to it as well. I can't imagine this being appropriate for Chicago in January winter but likely for that time we wear wool coats with scarves, hats and gloves. Could see how this would travel well though. Gave three stars for style because of the "foily" texture. The upside to it is that its water resistant.
This is a great & very flattering dress, but I had to exchange L (12-14) for XL (16)because it runs very small. I am usually a 10-12. The Ironwork/ black is a beautiful print, but on exchange was sent a black instead. Had to reorder again. This is the first incorrect order from Zappos since I began ordering in 2005. I think that's remarkable!
This is a really cute dress/skirt. I ordered a medium and it fits surprisingly well, even when using it as a skirt (I am on the hippy side so I expected it to be too tight but it wasn't). The hem hits my knees when worn as a dress (I am 5'3" and about 145 lbs.) It is very comfy and I am looking forward to using it while traveling as I am aiming to pack light. I am even ordering another one in black!
