Outdoor Kids Reviews

  • Sperry Top-Sider Kids by Bahama (Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 29, 2014 Christine Buckwalter from New Wilmington, PA

Really cute shoe! Purchased for my 9 year old. They are more sparkly than they appear in the picture (which is great!). Very comfy fit and feel true to size.

  • Teva Kids by Psyclone I (Infant/Toddler) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 29, 2014 Anonymous

Great sandal for my toddler, they are easy to put on and take off, and offer arch support which is rare in a sandal. She loves them. :) The shipping was super fast!

  • Hatley Kids by Rain Boots (Toddler/Little Kid) Overall Rated: 3 stars! Comfort Rated: 3 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 29, 2014 Lindsey Allen from Spokane, WA

I really wanted to love these boots. They have a flexible sole that is perfect for toddlers. I also love the designs. The sizing, however, is so incorrect. I ordered a size 5 after reading that these ran large. My daughter currently wears a size 6 in two different brands - Livie and Luca and See Kai Run. These were huge on her. A size 5 seemed to be similar to a size 7 or 8.

  • Kamik Kids by Stomp (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 4 stars! Oct 29, 2014 David Sabban from Seattle, WA

These Kamik boots are the best! They're the only reasonably priced boots that can deal with near-daily use at school, playground, beach and hikes. We live in Seattle and need rain boots that can be worn often and not develop cracks at the creases. We're on our third pair now simply because our daughter outgrew the smaller ones. We were able to hand those down to friends who are using them happily as well.

  • Merrell Kids by Jungle Moc Burst 2 Kids (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 1 stars! Comfort Rated: 1 stars! Look Rated: 1 stars! Oct 29, 2014 Devorah

I bought these for my daughter and she refuses to wear them. She says they are too hot for her. I am very disappointed since they were not cheap. and I can't return them since they have been worn.

  • Merrell Kids by Moab Polar Mid Strap 2.0 Waterproof (Toddler/Little Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 29, 2014 Anonymous from twin cities

Great boots. We had to go up a whole size though. These are our 3rd pair of boots. Company made some minor changes this year but hopefully they still are good.

About Outdoor Kids

Daddy drove for a long time. We went up mountains and through hills. My mom pointed out all the important things to look at, like the horses and the ducks. But when we finally got to our camping site, I couldn't wait to jump out of the car!

I was prepared for all the mud and puddles in my new Keen™ Kids boots. I feel like I have total control over my feet! I can't wait for our hike, but first we have to set up camp. I love everything about camping. We have great sleeping bags from The North Face® that we can snuggle under, and the scariest ghost story around the campfire won't keep me awake. I even have some fun pajamas from Life Is Good® to wear on our first night.

Next year, I'll be going to summer camp all by myself! I can't wait to meet other kids my age and go on hikes with them and make s'mores at night. I'm getting some good practice this year with my family vacation, and I've already broken in my Merrell Kids® hiking shoes. Over the winter, our parents took us out in the snow. I had a lot of fun learning how to ski, but even more fun learning how to snowboard! My little brother went sledding and started a few snowball fights. We both really love the warm clothes Mom bought us from Obermeyer Kids®. Now we can really tackle that mountain!

We don't always stick to the snow. On this trip, we're having so much fun discovering all the trees, the little critters and even each other. I never knew my dad was scared of spiders. But he is! He saw one on my backpack while we were on the trail and he totally freaked out. It was pretty funny. It was a good thing I was wearing a cool Patagonia® Kids beanie. I wouldn't want a spider in my hair! No insects were harmed, by the way. Dad is an eco-friendly kind of guy, and he just brushed him off into the woods.

We walked for a long time. I'm glad Mom had my little brother in his Baby Jogger™. She says it's really durable and safe on all the trails. He just sits back all nice and cozy, but his feet sure do look cute in his Teva® Kids sandals. We also packed some Columbia® Kids rain boots, just in case. If the weather does turn cold, I'll have all the protection I need because I've also brought my jacket and a warm top. I am so ready for this vacation!

Sometimes I think that vacations are even better than recess. You can't go fishing at recess, for example. But with my new water friendly Sorel® Kids boots, I can hit the lake front and bring some dinner back to camp!

I hope you liked my story. And I hope your family goes on an amazing vacation this year, too!
