Outdoor Kids Reviews

  • Kamik Kids by Stomp (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 1 stars! Comfort Rated: 4 stars! Look Rated: 4 stars! Sep 19, 2014 Anonymous

Bought this in March 2014. My son hasn't worn them since last May. Took them out of the closet yesterday and the center seam over the top of each foot is split open. My son loves them, but I won't buy Kamik again.

  • Teva Kids by Mush II (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Sep 19, 2014 Anonymous

I love these sandals. I didn't know until I went into a shoe store that the Big Kid 7 fits a woman's 8.5-9. They are comfortable and perfect for the beach.

  • Keen Kids by Coronado Print (Toddler) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Sep 19, 2014 Dina Schmidt

Great shoes for my 18 month old son! Super cute, but more importantly at this stage, they go onto his feet easily and he's able to walk in them very well. We've struggled to find a shoe for him that's both comfy & cool. These appear wider than some of the other shoes that we've struggled with, although certainly not too wide. He loves them as much as I do & we get tons of compliments on them! Love these & will be buying a pair in the next size up for our next stage!

  • Chaco Kids by Z/1® Ecotread (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Sep 19, 2014 Anonymous

Size 7 or 7 1/2 should stick to a size 6. They might be a bit large though. I love these shoes so much. They're comfortable, & very cute. They will stink and you will have blister but its only a new shoe thing!

  • Merrell Kids by Jungle Moc Sport (Little Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Sep 18, 2014 Joanne from New York

My grandson loves these shoes. He is 6 years old and this is his 3rd year that he has wanted the same pair (just bigger size).

  • Keen Kids by Chandler CNX (Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 4 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 3 stars! Sep 18, 2014 Anonymous

My son loves the way Keens fit (he is a 4th grader), but these ones, the red zig zag stripes on the side are peeling off. Only been in school a couple weeks now, I expect better quality from Keen.

About Outdoor Kids

Daddy drove for a long time. We went up mountains and through hills. My mom pointed out all the important things to look at, like the horses and the ducks. But when we finally got to our camping site, I couldn't wait to jump out of the car!

I was prepared for all the mud and puddles in my new Keen™ Kids boots. I feel like I have total control over my feet! I can't wait for our hike, but first we have to set up camp. I love everything about camping. We have great sleeping bags from The North Face® that we can snuggle under, and the scariest ghost story around the campfire won't keep me awake. I even have some fun pajamas from Life Is Good® to wear on our first night.

Next year, I'll be going to summer camp all by myself! I can't wait to meet other kids my age and go on hikes with them and make s'mores at night. I'm getting some good practice this year with my family vacation, and I've already broken in my Merrell Kids® hiking shoes. Over the winter, our parents took us out in the snow. I had a lot of fun learning how to ski, but even more fun learning how to snowboard! My little brother went sledding and started a few snowball fights. We both really love the warm clothes Mom bought us from Obermeyer Kids®. Now we can really tackle that mountain!

We don't always stick to the snow. On this trip, we're having so much fun discovering all the trees, the little critters and even each other. I never knew my dad was scared of spiders. But he is! He saw one on my backpack while we were on the trail and he totally freaked out. It was pretty funny. It was a good thing I was wearing a cool Patagonia® Kids beanie. I wouldn't want a spider in my hair! No insects were harmed, by the way. Dad is an eco-friendly kind of guy, and he just brushed him off into the woods.

We walked for a long time. I'm glad Mom had my little brother in his Baby Jogger™. She says it's really durable and safe on all the trails. He just sits back all nice and cozy, but his feet sure do look cute in his Teva® Kids sandals. We also packed some Columbia® Kids rain boots, just in case. If the weather does turn cold, I'll have all the protection I need because I've also brought my jacket and a warm top. I am so ready for this vacation!

Sometimes I think that vacations are even better than recess. You can't go fishing at recess, for example. But with my new water friendly Sorel® Kids boots, I can hit the lake front and bring some dinner back to camp!

I hope you liked my story. And I hope your family goes on an amazing vacation this year, too!
