Outdoor Kids Reviews

  • Kamik Kids by Fleur JR (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 3 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 23, 2014 ComfortnStyle from ny

I had initially ordered the Kamik Stomp for my 10 year old daughter in a size 4 (she wears a 3 1/2) but she wanted something with a pattern so I ordered these in the same size, a 4 and while they did fit, they didn't have as much room as the Stomp. The boots are beautiful and she loves them. I plan to purchase these in the adult Flora. I'm exchanging them for a 5 and as always it's a pleasure when I order from

  • The North Face Kids by Caroleena Jacket (Little Kids/Big Kids) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 23, 2014 Anonymous from Chickasha, OK

I love this jacket! Light but warm. It looks nice with dresses or pants and my daughter looks adorable in it! I loved it so much that I bought the adult version for myself!

  • Jambu Kids by Greenwich S (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 2 stars! Comfort Rated: 1 stars! Look Rated: 4 stars! Oct 23, 2014 Anonymous

Overall this is a cute and very comfortable shoe. But unfortunately, there is a tag sewn tightly into the insole right under the heel, which is very uncomfortable to walk on. Even if the tags are cut out, there will still be rough/raised stitches and since the insole is glued into the shoe, they can't be removed. It's a shame someone decided to do this, because otherwise they are a well designed, sturdy, and cute shoe. We have been happy with other Jambu shoes and we were really hoping to like this shoe, but sadly they are going back.

  • adidas Outdoor Kids by Daroga Leather (Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 2 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 23, 2014 Anonymous

I am very disappointed in these shoes. The style is cool and they fit my son we'll but they have already developed a hole near the heel in less than one month. Not sure if it is an anomaly, but unfortunately I wasted the money.

  • adidas Outdoor Kids by Daroga CF Leather I (Infant/Toddler) Overall Rated: 4 stars! Comfort Rated: 4 stars! Look Rated: 4 stars! Oct 23, 2014 Anonymous

These shoes are cute, but unfortunately they are way too narrow for my little guy. I had to return them because I just couldn't get them on his feet

  • Merrell Kids by Jungle Moc Boot Waterproof (Toddler/Little Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 23, 2014 Anonymous from Chicago, IL

My daughter loves these. She is about a size 13-13.5, so I ordered a size 1 thinking that she would have ample room to get through the winter, but her toes touched the top. I will exchange for a larger size. Great style!

About Outdoor Kids

Daddy drove for a long time. We went up mountains and through hills. My mom pointed out all the important things to look at, like the horses and the ducks. But when we finally got to our camping site, I couldn't wait to jump out of the car!

I was prepared for all the mud and puddles in my new Keen™ Kids boots. I feel like I have total control over my feet! I can't wait for our hike, but first we have to set up camp. I love everything about camping. We have great sleeping bags from The North Face® that we can snuggle under, and the scariest ghost story around the campfire won't keep me awake. I even have some fun pajamas from Life Is Good® to wear on our first night.

Next year, I'll be going to summer camp all by myself! I can't wait to meet other kids my age and go on hikes with them and make s'mores at night. I'm getting some good practice this year with my family vacation, and I've already broken in my Merrell Kids® hiking shoes. Over the winter, our parents took us out in the snow. I had a lot of fun learning how to ski, but even more fun learning how to snowboard! My little brother went sledding and started a few snowball fights. We both really love the warm clothes Mom bought us from Obermeyer Kids®. Now we can really tackle that mountain!

We don't always stick to the snow. On this trip, we're having so much fun discovering all the trees, the little critters and even each other. I never knew my dad was scared of spiders. But he is! He saw one on my backpack while we were on the trail and he totally freaked out. It was pretty funny. It was a good thing I was wearing a cool Patagonia® Kids beanie. I wouldn't want a spider in my hair! No insects were harmed, by the way. Dad is an eco-friendly kind of guy, and he just brushed him off into the woods.

We walked for a long time. I'm glad Mom had my little brother in his Baby Jogger™. She says it's really durable and safe on all the trails. He just sits back all nice and cozy, but his feet sure do look cute in his Teva® Kids sandals. We also packed some Columbia® Kids rain boots, just in case. If the weather does turn cold, I'll have all the protection I need because I've also brought my jacket and a warm top. I am so ready for this vacation!

Sometimes I think that vacations are even better than recess. You can't go fishing at recess, for example. But with my new water friendly Sorel® Kids boots, I can hit the lake front and bring some dinner back to camp!

I hope you liked my story. And I hope your family goes on an amazing vacation this year, too!
