Mizuno Reviews
Another highly rated shoe that fell flat to me. They were super flexible and fit like a glove, BUT the cushioning in the inside felt all wrong on my feet. It felt a bit lumpy and I couldn't imaging running with these on. Maybe I'm not used to cushioning like that, but to me, a shoe should feel natural and once they are on, I don't want to feel it probing my foot. They're a great looking shoe and have a nice bounce to them, but didn't work for me.

I had the Wave Inspire 6 that had seen better days. I tried on a few different pair, but these still felt the best. The fit very similar to the Wave Inspire 6. I like the bright color choices too.
Without a doubt the most comfortable running shoe I have ever worn. It was perfect right out of the box. I had also ordered Brooks Ghost 5 and he Mizuno Wave Precision but the Wave Rider was so much more comfortable than the others.
This was probably my 20th pair of Mizuno Wave Riders, wearing them in Marathons and Ultras right out of the box. However, with the WR 16, they changed the construction and are different than the last 19. They are lighter, not as padded, and the arch support is not as built as it used to be....They were comfortable, but after my first 5 miles, I thought, Oh man, do I have to start looking for a new running shoe?" I think I will look for Wave Rider 15 and below and stock up!
These are great shoes. I love the way they hug the back of my feet. That provides a secure feeling. I usually wear a 5, but usually get a 5½ in athletic shoes for socks, but with this brand I can wear a 6 and still have a great fit especially since I thread the top loop a bit differently for a more secure fit around the ankle without having to tighten the laces too much across the bridge of my feet.
I'm petite at 5'1" and about 120lbs. I have minor suprination and these shoes are not designed to accommodate suprination. Therefore, my knees hurt and my feet hurt in just walking in them. There is tons of room in the toe box (top to bottom like a high ceiling) - almost too much for me such that my toes end up rubbing against the top of the shoe. I have slightly high arches and the shoes really hurt my arches. Bottom line is I would not recommend this shoe if you have a petite foot, supinate, and have somewhat high arches. Other than that they look gorgeous! So, I had to return them and stick with the Asics Nimbus.
Best running shoes I have ever owned! My ankles roll out even walking in other athletic shoes. I had given up ever running again and was wearing hiking boots. Not anymore:) These shoes are awesome, just wish they made the narrow in another color and I could have two pair?
These fit perfectly right out of the box. I'm a size 10 and I ordered a 10.5 and I'm glad I did. I'd say these shoes run a half size small. Great shoe!
I was looking for a shoe with some "suspension" in the heel. These are solid hard plastic on the sole and will not give any bounce to the step. Construction of the shoe was excellent otherwise.
Really liked the update on the 16. Great overall workout shoe, running, elliptical, cardio barre, great stability. Also love this color, have gotten so many complements!
Good shoe! I bought these because I needed new runners and couldn't find my usual Wave Nirvanas anywhere. I found these to have a bit less stability than the Nirvanas (to be expected) and loved that these came in narrow. Still getting used to running in these but so far they are a nice shoe, very lightweight, and love the color choices!
When I was introduced to this shoe and put it on, it was like angels came down from the heavens and sang songs to the blessings of my feet. Awesome, comfortable, perfect. I was using a wrong running shoe that was heavier and didn't provide any appropriate support. The feeling of these shoes is they were made for my feet. I mildly over pronate and I have a high arc. My feet strikes on the outer portion of my heel and rolls inward. There isn't much else to say. My knees were hurting with my old shoes and I was lumbering when I ran and now my knees are feeling great and my legs feel much, much lighter. My feet feel great in them too.
This is my first time ordering from Zappos and I couldn't be happier with the results. The next day shipping was really the next day. The Mizuno sneakers were as advertised. They fit well, were extremely comfortable and I am totally satisfied with the results.
So great to find a nice colorful sneaker in narrow that stays comfortably on my feet. I looked for months. Delivery was very quick.
After doing quite a lot of research, I decided to buy the Mizuno Wave Rider 16s. I've been running regularly in 5Ks for about 4 months so I don't really go long distances when I run. These were an editor's choice by Runner's Monthly as well and that was a deciding factor. All that said, I am very happy with my choice. These shoes are extremely lightweight and the 'wave' design on the heel (watch the Zappos video!) really does seem to propel you forward. The cushioning and support is fantastic too. I also use these for CrossFit. One note about the color: to me, they looked like a darker red here but the color is more like a very deep pinkish-red and the parts that look black are actually a dark charcoal. I still love them though!
I love these shoes. I have never owned a pair of Mizuno's but I bought them based on the great reviews. I absolutely love these and would definitely recommend them!

These shoes are incredible, which is typical of the Mizuno name. Their wave technology is second to none. Though these are typically trail shoes, I've worn them on the street/sidewalk and they're fantastic.
Super comfortable! Very light, barely feel like they're on my feet. That may be due to the fact that I previously had a pair of Wave Creations, but I love these shoes. The yellow color may look gaudy, but it helps for visibility.
I love this shoe. I love the fit and it is so lightweight. Colors are bright and vivid. Right on perfect size. Very low around the ankle as well.
