Fabric is much "coarser" than my other 501s, and sort of scratchy. Fit OK when initially tried on, but shrank much more than my other 501s, some of which are now 10 years old, ever did. After only two gentle washes in cold water and drip drying only, these are now too short in length, and too tight in the waistband and crotch. I am quite disappointed.

These are my first foray into skinnier jeans. I have always been a loose fit guy. I feel that these are a bit constrictive up top, but I'm sure that's just me. As I noted in my 505 review, there are some "color" choices in Levis that are actually stretch denim, but there's no way to tell which ones they are on Zappos. You have to cross-reference with the Levis website. I've never worn stretchy jeans, and I'm returning the 505's that ended up being stretchy, but I may purchase a pair of these 514's in a stretchy "color" and see if I like them better than the non-stretchy design.

I bought a pair of Levi 505's. The color selection on some Levi's is a bit overwhelming, but I selected the "Cash" color on the 505's. When I pulled these out of the box, I immediately noticed that they were stretchy. The tag revealed that they were 98% cotton, and 2% Elastane. The specs tab for the 505's says that they are 100% cotton, and this description doesn't change based on the "color" selection. However, reviewing the different "colors" on the actual Levi's site, I found that some colors are stretch denim, and some are not. I am returning these to get a non-stretch "color". I don't know if Zappo's can help in the identification of which ones are stretch and which are not, but it's definitely an important decision. For now, I have to cross-reference with the Levi's site to make my decisions.

Men's Denim

Let’s be honest for a minute. Denim is a real man’s fabric. Rugged, durable, and reinforced with rivets for long-lasting wear, a solid pair of blue jeans is the trusty pickup truck of men’s clothing. Whether you shop for fashion or for function let the Zappos Denim Shop help you find the perfect fit.

When it comes to choosing the right jeans, there are plenty of types to pick from. Opt for a bootcut jean when you want a slightly flared out bottom to accommodate your best pair of sneakers or work boots. For something similar without the flare, a straight cut might be more suited to your needs. Of course, any of these styles can be found in slim, skinny, or relaxed versions for a more modern or roomier fit. Wear your favorite cut in a variety of different washes and low, mid, or high-rise options.

The fashion-forward fellow will love our selection of colored denim and distressed blue jeans. Turn heads in acid wash or get bold with bright colors and prints. Sometimes even small details like interesting embroidery on a back pocket or a strategically placed rip can speak volumes about your personal style.

Whether you’re a dark washed and cuffed denim sort of guy or a slim-fit stud, you can shop trusted brands like Levi’s®, 7 For All Mankind, Rock Revival, AG Adriano Goldschmied, Diesel®, and Lucky Brand®. Even better is that with our fast and free shipping options, you’ll hardly have to wait to get into our pants!
