I had a pair of these shoes in 1975 when I was a senior in high school and I loved them! When I saw them on Zappos, I had to have them. I love them all over again!

After all the great reviews I really wanted to like these sandals. I love the retro style and height of the heel, as I am 5'2". However, when I put them on, my feet slid forward because the front criss-cross straps are too loose; I am a solid M width. So they had to be returned. I may try the close-toed Verna style.

I cannot believe how quickly these came! I love them. I wanted these 30 years ago and Mom would not let me have them because they were so high. Now I am 44 and so happy. I bought a pair like these last year that had a solid back. Those took me so long to wear in because of the toe straps (I have wide feet). They eventually wore in and I was confident that these would, too. I am an 8½ and usually order a 9 in shoes, but took the advice on here and ordered an 8 in these. I am glad that I did. The first two days were really uncomfortable. I sat and watched TV in these at first, then progressed to walking for a few hours. Now I am on my third day and they are just fine. They wore in much quicker than last year's. Most people will not have to do this, I just have really wide fee. I am so excited to have these for spring and summer. They really look cute with dresses and jeans. Between these and my Birks, warm weather shoes are covered. It has taken me decades to discover the comfort of cork shoes. I wish all my shoes were made out of this material.

So comfortable. I have really wide feet. It took about a month to break them in. I would only wear them for a couple of hours at a time. If you don't have wide feet, you'll be fine.

Amazingly comfortable! I have owned these for a few years now. Wore them all day walking around NYC and were comfortable all day. I have high arches and they seem to be really supportive. The light color did get some ink transfer since I wear them with long jeans a lot. But I've had them cleaned and they are good as new. Wear them with dresses or the current bellbottom jeans - so cute!

These shoes were so beautiful I couldn't take my eyes off my feet. Unfortunately I also couldn't walk in them. they fit beautifully towards the back but the straps are so tight across the toes that I couldn't walk without pain.
