Kickers Reviews
I had to return the first pair; I ordered what Zappos said was a size 40/10. When I got them, the box was marked 40/9.5, and indeed the shoe was too small. I have reordered in a size 41.
I really like these shoes!! I needed a dressier heel for work (to replace my clunky Dansko clogs). The heel is stacked (which is the ONLY kind of heel I buy). The leather is soft and supple, and it's just a really cute, simple shoe. The heel is low enough to be comfortable and does not cause any fatigue or pain, but it's high enough to give a little oomph. Not a lot of padding, but it's surprisingly still comfy. I'm wearing them right now at work as I type this. I have flat feet, so I can't speak as to arch support.
In a way these shoes are cute, but they also remind me of my grandma's orthopedic shoes. They are comfortable, and the heel is nice, and the color is true navy, but I am returning - can't get past the grandma style.
These are beautifully crafted shoes. They are a bit too expensive though. They are somewhat stiff for the price. I am sending them back until I get a raise. I am spoiled by Dansko.
Got the last size 36 pair in the bordeaux. Color is dark red (not bright red as shown on my computer) and the trim is navy. Am wearing them for the first time today, with my navy dress. Comfy enough, and have already received a compliment. Not sure I understand the shoe lace arrangement, but I'm a bit of an unco. I'm usually a 5W and the 36 (which according to the size chart is a 5.5) is a bit roomy, but once I put in my orthotics (there's enough depth for them), they're just right. I'd say these particular Kickers are true to size, so no need to size up as you normally would with this brand. Toe box is fairly broad, so no toe amputations will be required. Width is fine for me. Overall a good, funky shoe.
I fear doing a review of this shoe because Zappos has customers who buy all the stock at once and then there's nothing left for the rest of us! Come on ladies, stop hoarding the size 8's! Having said that, I will do what is right because I am a long time loyal customer. I have spent hours upon hours searching for a light oxford style shoe like this one, and it's a winner! I just got my first pair today and put in an order for another style with strap. I can't say the quality is top notch as the inner leather had a bit of a fold over in one section in the inside footbed and you can see that they are not "high-end" but the price isn't high-end either. They are made in India. The heel is very nice quality and made with beautiful wood, and there is also an accent of the wood on the sole, but again, it is very lightweight...which I have to have for a bad knee. This is a classic style, it goes with just about everything, it's great for retro looks and can be dressed up for the office or for a night out. The leather is very soft and seems good quality. I plan to keep them for special occasions so they last. Even with the slight defect, I am keeping the pair I got, I want to wear them ASAP and it looks like they'll be selling out soon...so don't wait! give them a try. If you have issues with heels but want something light for special occasions that is comfortable, this is a winner! And yes, it is true to size and width too. I look forward to more new designs from Kickers.

It all began in 1970 when Daniel Raufast was inspired to create a brand that embodied a whole generation's way of life and new aspirations. The key words of this young generation determined to live their dreams to the fullest were: independence, optimism, imagination, and escape. These dreams were embodied right down to the way they dressed in practical, colorful clothes and asserted their identities.
One key element that was missing in this imaginative and creative look was a form of footwear. This footwear would be the symbol of an alternative culture and a way of expressing difference. The first shoe appeared in the spring of 1970 and it was called Kickers.
Kickers are strong, practical and comfortable shoes. They are bright, cheerful and comfortable. Kickers also represents the simple, authentic qualities of natural materials. From its beginning Kickers had an international reach and the brand is still present worldwide and making shoes for men, women, and children to enjoy.
