Fidji Reviews
I purchased these shoes in brown. They are stylish and oh-so-comfortable, but the smell (brand new!) is unbearable. They've been sitting in the garage for weeks, and they still smell. I cannot wear them without smelling like a decaying animal myself. Of course, I threw away the packaging, never imagining they would stink. Expensive mistake.
Like all of my Fidji shoes, these get me compliments every day. The light citrine green is very muted and goes well with the bone toe piece and stitching. Very comfortable shoes. Felt very true to size.
I love Fidji shoes and while these weren't quite as I envisioned them, I kept them. They'll go nicely with dress slacks & jeans. Be aware that the cut-outs in the leather uppers allow for great ventilation but also let cool air to come through. So if you're in a colder environment, wear stockings.
I bought the yellow ones last fall at Nordstroms in Chicago. I asked for something cute and comfortable and I told the salesperson that I wasn't willing to compromise on comfort. He brought me these. Thanks to these shoes, I am now a HUGE fan of Fidji! I wear a 37 in this shoe and am normally a 6.5-7. I have skinny feet with long toes and a high arch. I think this size works great. I can wear these all day, although I am sitting half the time. The only place the shoe rubs a bit is on the top where the laces are and on the inside side. But, a little of that Band-Aid rub prevents them completely. They look cute with jeans, slacks and skirts. They can be casual-artsy-cool or dressy. I always get compliments on these shoes. Love them!
Beautiful shoe! I just wish they fit me. They were too long and so wide that even if I go one size down (I'm usually a 36) I'm afraid they won't fit me. But otherwise, they felt wonderfully comfortable and looked very stylish
This was my first pair of Fidjis and I am impressed. They have a great look and were very comfy out of the box. My first wear was to a big work event where I stood and walked all afternoon and evening. I was impressed with the comfort and lack of blisters! I will be buying more Fidjis in the future. Worth the investment.
These are slightly wider and longer than a US 6.5 M. I don't mind the extra room as they were comfortable right out of the box, however, the round metal buckle where the velcro strap is hits my ankle bone, annoyingly so. It does not dig in since the shoes are roomy, but hits it just enough to make them uncomfortable only in that spot, this problem also prevents me from tightening the strap for a better fit. Think If I had gotten a size smaller that it would have dug right into my skin on that bone. I am going to keep them since I have no time to get a different pair before an event, and will just put a mini band aid on my ankle bone to avoid friction.
The stone color is actually a dirty grayish tan. It does not take away from the comfort, but these shoes look better online than in person.
Gorgeous. There is not quite enough velcro so if you have slim ankles they might not work. A little more padding or "give" in the sole would be nice (I walk a lot). Other than that, pretty perfect.
Gorgeous shoe, but a little too big. I wear size 8 and have had success w other Fidji in 39, but this was a bit too big. I wish they were available in 38.5!
Fun shoes and as comfortable as all of the Fidji styles I own. I'm on my feet for work hours at a time and Fidji shoes hold up. I've donated many of my other shoe brands just to replace with Fidji shoes.
Cute shoe! And comfortable, except it's a bit small in the toe box. Going to try the next size up and hope for the best!
Love these shoes! I work 11 hour days on my feet for most of it, on CONCRETE floors and these did great. Even on the first day of wear! Almost as comfy as my Merrell's. Much more interesting to look at! I hope they hold up well!
I'm writing again because it looks like I must have mistakenly checked "runs large" in my first review. I meant to check "true to size", although the heels were a little wide on me. They slipped just a little, but with the strap, it wasn't a problem.
These are wonderful, smart-looking, and comfortable shoes, but the black is different. The box says Tucblack. I liked the color, but did not think it looked good with most of my blacks. In some lighting, against black pants, they would have passed for dark navy. If you are wearing them with other colors, they should work fine. I have not had this brand before, but it seems good. I wish I could justify keeping them.
This shoe is so visually hot with black or brown/tan slacks.! It will lead! It is comfortable as long as one does not stand in it for 3-4 hours straight which I did. Feels great on your foot shorter term and is true to size.
I have another pair of Fidjis in a 42 and they fit my giant feet perfectly, so I was disappointed when these arrived and I found the same size shoe was too short in this style. Otherwise, they were super cute and very comfortable. Nice leather too, a rarity in shoes these days.
I absolutely love these shoes! I have giant feet, and due to the cute retro style, my feet feel pretty! I normally wear a 10½ and the 42 fit just great. I live in New York City and they are fine for walking, the subway, and to work. They might be a bit uncomfortable for all day walking, though. I love them so much that I am going to buy them in black as soon as they come back in stock! One downside: this shoe is marked "pearly purple" but it is obviously a lovely rose color. Good leather, though.
I love the 1 1/2 inch heels on many of the Fidji styles. I simply cannot wear higher heels anymore, but these heels are feminine and give the appearance of a higher heel compared to a wedge. And the design details are unusual but versatile. As for this shoe, I received compliments immediately. Last night I was walking down Michigan Ave. in Chicago, and a stranger commented about my shoes...how stylish they were. She suggested I buy them in every color!
Love these shoes. So, I'm pretty picky when it comes to shoes and how they fit. I have a high instep and a wide foot. These shoes are super classy, and surprisingly very comfortable. Work great with dress pants, skirts or even that dressy dress. Thanks Zappos for making my day, everytime I order.

Fifteen kilometers from the northern coast of Portugal, you are transported back in time to the age of chivalry and poise. In the city of Santa Maria da Feira sits a beautiful castle that was once the residence of Portugal’s first king. Every summer, a medieval festival is held with jousting, dancing, and famous Porto wines. Feeling like a princess, you venture upon the Fidji factory and are amazed to find yourself in a library surrounded by shoes instead of books. This is definitely every girl’s dream!
