Bought these shoes because I started to get into bouldering. They are great starter shoes and were recommended by a friend. I wear a 10.5 and got these in a 10.5 . They initially fit tight but once they got broken into they were more comfortable. Comfortable is relative since climbing shoes are supposed to fit tight and do force your toes to curl in when wearing. The shoe is easy to put on and take off due to the Velcro strapping. It has great grip on the wall as well. You can really feel the stickiness of the sole when you touch them. Overall a great shoe. I highly recommend them as a they are a great starter climbing shoe!

These are my first climbing shoe so take my comments with a grain of salt. Thick soles save the shoes from my noisy feet as a novice and there is a slight downturn in the shoe where my arches are. The high offset of the rubber make these great for bouldering. I purchased at my street shoe size (10.5 US) and my toes are slightly curved as they should be. Also, the heel cup was a bit loose when the shoes were new, but it seems my foot has settled in and there is no sliding or popping. These were not made for standing or walking so I only wear these while actively climbing. I'll take then off for belaying, etc. The unlined shoe and synthetic materials minimize odor and stretching, but you may wish to pick up some odor eaters or an equivalent. Overall, a great starter shoe and I'd purchase again. Just ensure they fit properly (which means uncomfortably when standing and toes should touch the top of the shoe)!

This is a fantastic shoe. I have a wide forefoot, and it's hard to find more aggressive climbing shoes that aren't incredibly painful. The toe box in this shoe is roomy without being bulky. In terms of climbing, the reinforced toe and the aggressive arch allow for great moves.

The Talon G2 is a great climbing shoe! This is my third pair and I really like the fit. My feet are somewhat narrow and the lace-up style helps the shoe conform to my foot. I usually have trouble with the heel of a climbing shoe being too roomy but the heel of the Talon G2 fits well. The toe is just slightly downturned to give good performance while still being comfortable.

I was iffy about buying a Velcro shoe,I wanted something with a aggressive feel and the third strap did the trick, this shoe is aggressive and is able to do the job, it's a all around shoe. I've been climbing in them for a while and they are able to take a beating, I haven't even seen one sign of wear and tear. I highly recommend this shoe!!

I've only been climbing on these for 2 days at my gym but I'm already super happy with these shoes. My last few shoes were the LaSportiva Nagos, Evolv Defy, and the Anasazi Blancos. I love the Nagos because they were extremely comfortable after the first week; though they did not edge or stick well compared to the Anasazi; I plan to resole them with the Stealth rubber. The Defys were pretty underwhelming and didn't impress me in any facet. The Anasazis had awesome sticky rubber (Stealth C4) and were super stiff and supportive; but the heel cup was designed like total shit, had dead space, and was painful even after thoroughly breaking them in. I wear a US men's 10 in a street shoe; 43 in the Nagos; 10.5 in the Anasazi; and strangely 11.5 in the Talon. So the sizing is definitely whacked out on these. Go up at least a full size from your street shoe. At 11.5 all of my toes are still curled and I have a slight hot spot. But in the 12s, my big toe was pretty much straight and I didn't feel like I could feel the wall as well. These shoes are so comfortable. It's amazing. I wore them for 90 minutes the first day and never had to loosen them. Wore them yesterday for 2.5 hours and again, had no pain. This was such a relief/transition from the Anasazis. The arch is pretty aggressive. The toe point sticks well into tiny holes. The heel hooks well. The laces were about 10 inches too long; so I cut and burned one end off of each one. Now they're perfect. They lace super fast, smooth, and the fit is really easily controlled. They smear pretty well; not as well as the Anasazis; but they do their job. Edging is also really nice. I think this will be my go-to shoe for a long long time. Definitely worth every penny.

Received shoes quickly with no hassles. Shoes are a little tight at first (more the right foot). Stuck a boot last in it, laced it up and left it for a week. These shoes do stretch out. Overall very happy. Have bought from Zappos before, never had any problems.

I demoed a few shoes yesterday at my gym. I have a fairly wide foot and usually wear a US men's 10 in a street shoe, 10.5 in the 5.10 Anasazis, and 11.5 in the Evolv Talons. After 2 routes, I found these shoes to be ridiculously slick. I felt completely unstable and my feet slipped off holds repeatedly. They are very comfortable, but the stickiness of the rubber killed it for me.

Not a fan of these shoes...I think it's mostly because of the velcro. I have pretty narrow feet with a high arch and these shoes don't feel too solid; the toe has space in the wrong place and the sole doesn't fit snug against the bottom of my foot. The velcro hangs past the sole about 1", which is especially annoying in the gym when it gets stuck to the pads. Next time I'll go for a pair with laces!

Great all arounder. Comfy, fit in tight cracks, smear, edge, toe and heel hook, durable sticky trax rubber. Way better than Galileo I switched from.

Awesome shoes! FAST! True to size. Sizing more US style than most climbing shoes.

The new Primes (SC and Lace up) have found their way into my regular rotation of climbing shoes, performing solidly on footwork intensive boulder problems, as well as long, technical face climbing. Quick Background on reviewer - 10 years climbing experience, 6 years professional coaching experience. Climbing in the 5.13 range. Shoe Pros - - crazy amount of rubber coverage, it's almost like a lightweight rubber sock pointed forward. Any angle you can place your foot on the rock has the capability to stick well. Semi-symmetrical last provides a good step of power across the first two toes. Edging and smearing are solid, and heel and toe hooking are baller. Nice construction; feels like it will last a lot of abuse. Could be better - - longer break in time than shoes with less rubber. First few sessions have these feeling tight and stiff. Break in to be comfortable and much softer, but the first few sessions are foot squeezy. Enough rubber coverage that it can make the foot sweat some on long routes.

Good climbing shoes, at least for an intermediate/moderate climber. They fit well, though I had to order a half-size larger than my normal shoe size.

Great shoe for the money, I ordered a size down from my street shoe, uncomfortable at first but not unbearable. Have had about 7 3 hour gym climbs in them now and have stretched to fit great. Smears well but the edging is fairly weak in them do to the rounded toes. All in all a great all day shoe.

Great first climbing shoe. Careful with the sizing. I originally bought small based off of recommendations to have a very tight fitting shoe, but it was just painful. Closer to my true shoe size work much better, and the free shipping and return policy made this exchange seamless.

The Talons are my favorite climbing shoe I have ever owned. I switched from the 5.10 Dragons to the Talons and haven't looked back. I put them on for the first time and was amazed at how well they fit as well as how comfortable they were. It only took me a week and a half to break them in! The liner on the shoe makes them comfortable to wear for extended periods of time the only drawback to the liner is that it does trap in odor. However, since the shoe is all synthetic I just pop them in the washer and they are good as new!

Definitely the whole package! The shaman fits perfectly! The heel cup never slips and your toes have the perfect amount of room. I love that the entire top of the toe has rubber on it. This makes it a wonderful shoe for toehooking. Also, the entire heel is covered with rubber which is ideal for heelhooking. The downturned toe is not only perfect for overhanging steepness, it is great for all angles. The three strap design allows you to tighten your shoe to your exact size and comfort. The shaman has comfort, sticky TRAX rubber, and is perfect for sending all your projects.

First off, with sizing it is difficult to say if shoes are "true to size" because each brand is a little different, and the shape of the shoe is always a factor. If you already climb in Evolv and want a good fit, I went one full size down from street shoe size. In Evolv's other, more down-turned and aggressive shoes, I only go down half a size from street. The fit is solid; the opposing strap idea works well to really keep the arch of your fit tight against the shoe, and makes it more trustworthy on major heelhocks. A bit stiffer of a design through the midsole; means these shoes perform great across a wide range of terrain, from being able to smear on slabs, stand on small holds on vertical walls, and still provide enough flex to toe in when climbing on steep walls. Style... too personal to judge, right? I like brightly colored shoes.

Good starter shoe, well priced and very comfortable. Good smearing performance but the edging is less than impressive. They get loose and the edges wear off very quickly. Size these equal to your street shoe size, or a half size larger for comfort; there isn't much reason to size these tight. After a few months I traded my pair in for a higher performing shoe, but keep my old pair as a great crack climbing shoe.

The best craftsmanship I have seen in shoes. Similar in feel to a La Sportiva Miura but way more comfortable, and better on steep terrain. Love this shoe.

Unless you have tried on the exact shoe and know what you want, don't buy rock climbing shoes online. There are so many elements going into the perfect shoes for you that online is really hard. I got these too small so I had to return them.
