El Naturalista

Ordered these sandals one day and they were delivered the next day. Thank-you Zappos - you're the greatest! I love this sandal. It is comfortable and just what I've been looking for but. . . I wore them for the first time today after I got them and yes, as another customer said, the heel started coming off. Now what? Very poor design/quality for the money. What a shame!

I love this shoe. I'm usually a Size 10 and opted for the 41. However, it seemed just a tad too big, so I ordered the 40 as well. My foot is long because I have toes like fingers. I have a narrow heel area, but I'm wide-ish across the toes, so I was surprised that it still seemed a wee bit too wide for me. However, the 40 was definitely not long enough, so they went back. I'm accustom to wearing Dansko and Hasbeens, so this pair was supposed to breathe fresh life into my clog collection. Ultimately, I decided that the shoe was slightly too long in the 41, but not enough to send them back since there was a strap that kept them secure. I'm very pleased with the styling and the fit is definitely comfortable. I ordered them in the Piedra, which is a nice neutral and they arrived just as they appeared in the Zappos photo. I do think the brand needs to adjust their sizing. As a Size 10, I can always usually wear a 41 with ease, but this 41 was definitely on the larger size.

I usually need an 8 1/2 W (or 8 1/2 C). I am finding that with sandals of this style the regular width is fine. However, with these, the European sizing recommended a size 39 for US size 8 - 8 1/2 and that is too small. The size 40 worked much better. With the size 40, the arch support hits in the right place, making these sandals very comfortable, so you might want to order up a size, especially if you are a 1/2 size.

I like shoes of the naturalist, but in this design quality was not good, because the second you wear the sole is detachment, tube to find where to buy glue to paste as this ocaciono me slip. sorry

Finally, a ballerina shoe that doesn't hurt my bunion (I ordered wide). Just feel rather hot for the summer. But should be great in cooler weather.

I am comparing these to a similar style that Dansko used to make. As a true size 7 1/2, El Naturalistra is not sized ideally for me. The 38 is closer to a 7 and the 39 is just too big. I can get away with the 38 as these are sandals, but my right big toe bumps a little. These are cute, I like that they're not all black. They have good arch support but not as good as Dansko.

I wore these shoes for the first time on a hot day, walking hours on city sidewalks, and my feet did not hurt. No blisters, no sore soles, nothing. Bliss, just pure bliss. They are a distinctive style and come in beautiful colors. I have the red, and they are a true red. Now I want them in every color, but of course that's just silly. Maybe just the green...and the purple...and the brown.

Love these shoes. They are very comfortable and I love the color - great for summer. The color goes with al my neutral outfits. Even though they are pricey, they are well worth it.

I bought another color, but was really tempted by this beautiful wine-colored leather. These are beautifully made, comfortable and fun-looking on your foot!

My first pair of El Naturalista, and I think I may be a fan! These are comfortable, beautifully made, and the color has a touch of gray (not yellow) that makes them a fabulous neutral addition to my shelves!

I absolutely love this shoe. It is so comfortable and did not need any breaking in period. The leather is high quality an the style is very classy - you can dress it up or down! You have extra height without damaging your feet. It's true to size and does not rub anywhere.

Best purchase. I got these for a conference and have worn them for two 8-hour days and they are the most comfortable shoes. Highly recommend. I will be buying more shoes from this company.

This shoe was so tight across the top of the foot. It was also very long. The front is angled, I suppose, to accommodate people with longer big toes (?), but it stuck out a good 2 inches longer from the end of my foot. Weird.

Initially comfortable but the straps rubbed on my foot and irritated my skin. At the end of the day when your feet swell the straps rub on the rest of the foot. It isn't the wear all day shoe I was hoping for. It is okay to wear for a few hours only.

This is my third pair of El Naturalista shoes. I love the brand, and I probably love this one more than any other I've had. They are completely comfortable right out of the box, and are a fantastic summer sandal that doesn't look too casual. My go-to style are ballet flats, and this is a great summer alternative. For my medium foot they seemed a bit wide and I think the leather is going to give a bit. I've gotten a bunch of compliments.

These sandals are really cute, especially the multi colored, and brown - hard to decide which to keep, I'll probably keep both. Good arch support.

These are so cute but run half size small. Have to return for larger size. Zappos' service is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Lovely slingback, soft leather. Very little arch support, not enough for anyone with ortho-type needs. I usually wear Naots, two pair of Cydwoq sandals, was hoping for another stylish option, not meant to be.

This shoe had a comfortable footbed, but was way too wide for my foot. Based on another reviewer's comment, I would recommend this shoe for a WIDE foot. It is nice quality.

As others have mentioned, the upper of this shoe is firmer than the photo and the stitching imply. That gives it more of a clog look and feel, which was a pleasant surprise to me. Also, the upper looks matte or suede-like in the photo, but in real life it is more leathery. At the end of a day of wear, my instep and baby toe(s) are a bit red. These are still new to me, so I'm hoping they will stretch a bit. All in all a comfy, super-cute, comes in great colors, wear with jeans or a skirt kind of shoe.
