Eastland Reviews

Bought these for my husband. They ran true to size and were neither narrow or wide. He wears them more or less every day in New York City and they hold up great. Now that it's warming up outside, he's ready to put them in the closet for the season. They aren't lightweight, but are heavier like Docs. All in all, a good-looking and comfortable shoe, he says.
Very cute boat shoe, but flipped right off my heel. I tend to fall between two sizes and I ordered on the low end, as well. I'd get the next size down but they've sold out of the color I wanted, too bad!
I completely disagree about these looking like "old lady shoes." They bear no resemblance to old lady shoes at all (and yes, I know what old lady shoes look like). In fact, the Ginas are more feminine that most of the Eastland line. Now, perhaps it's because I wear them only with slacks and not with skirts or shorts, but I think they look streamlined and great! If you are looking for a sexy pump, then no, these are not the shoes for you.... But for professional, comfortable, smart-looking shoes, these are a great buy. I have had no problems with them leaking, either. I haven't worn them for wading through streams, but in a downpour they do just fine. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever put my feet in. Nice cushioning and support, no hot spots or rub spots. I could wear them for a week straight! This is what customer reviews are for - to give varying perspectives based on experience. I have two pair of Ginas and I love them in both colors. Highly recommended.

The Eastland Stonington's are a very comfortable and stylish shoe. They run true to size so there's no need to get a half size bigger. I have wide feet and they fit well. In fact, you do need to wear thick socks. I definitely recommend them. I wear them to work often.
FYI, there seems to be a quality problem with the elastic that attaches the leather strap to the sole of the shoe. When I got the first pair from Zappos the elastic was ripped. I returned that pair and Zappos was out of stock so I had to order from another site. The second pair had the same problem! I am going to take them to an alterations place to see if they can repair the elastic. Other than that issue, they seem to be good sandals if you want something sturdy but also youthful and cute.
I like the style of these and they're just right for everyday casual sandals. And they come in Wide, which is so hard to find in cute shoes. They took a while to break in - they were quite stiff and uncomfortable right out of the box, but I decided to try to make them work since I couldn't find anything else I liked that comes in wide. I took a chance and decided to go through the discomfort of getting the stiffness out by stretching them with my hands and just wearing them anyway, and I'm glad I did. Now they're much more comfortable, and I'm hopeful that they'll get more so as I continue to wear them. I imagine that most people wouldn't be desperate enough to deal with the initial discomfort like I was, so I'm only giving two stars for comfort. In my opinion, even shoes that require some breaking in should be comfortable out of the box, and these definitely aren't.
Ordered usual size/medium width. Shoe looks great. Length fine, but outside of toebox seems "contoured" & would likely rub. Biggest problem is mid-shoe. The sides are very wide, very soft, and almost padded - more like a moccasin-slipper than a boat shoe. Will stick with topsiders. Returning this item.
I got these for my mom, and she loves them. She has extra wide feet, and the wide width fit exactly right. They are cute with capris, which is her default summer style, and she gets lots of compliments on them.
I loved the shoes but I normally wear a 9.5M or wide. I ordered the 10wide and the 9.5 wide and they were both too wide and both too long. Not sure what to order now but think a medium might be better. The wide is really too wide.
Bought these in brown and black. I have had a pair of Eastland loafers for close to 10 years prior to this purchase. I love the style and although they felt tight at first (I have wide feet) they broke in within the first wearing. I wore the black the most and just after about 4 months I noticed that the upper started to come apart from the sole on the inside right where my foot bends. Just a couple of weeks ago I was wearing the brown pair and we had a huge storm come through right when I had to walk from my building to my car after work. Now I realize that leather is not waterproof, but not a minute after walking in the rain I noticed that the BOTTOM of my feet were feeling wet! This was a heavy downpour but I was under an umbrella and although there was a lot of water on the ground it was not standing water. By the time I got to my car the tops of the shoes were wet as well, but my socks were soaked - completely. I have been in the rain many times before in my other Eastland loafers and didn't have this problem. It makes me wonder about the integrity of the stitching of the upper part of the shoe to the sole. With the black pair coming apart at a stress point and then the amount of water that ended up inside my shoe from a rainstorm - my initial love for these shoes has quickly faded.
I love these boots! They have a soft footbed, and lots of support. I wear a size 11 and the comments I keep getting are how small they make my feet look.
Love these shoes so much I bought another pair in brown. I spend a lot of time on my feet and the comfort held all day. Great for dressing up a pair of jeans without compromising comfort.
Lovely shoe. Even with a wide, the toe area was narrow. Seams were rough on the side of my big toe. They are being returned.
These shoes are so comfortable. If I could, I would wear gym shoes all the time but since it does not seem right to wear gym shoes at the office, I had to look for comfortable shoes that did not look bad. I first ordered them in black then liked them so much that I ordered them in brown, too. They look great with slacks and jeans, too.
I really like loafers, but have a narrow heel. Bass-generally stopped making narrow widths, and the few styles they make sell out quickly. Sebago Plaza had a nice shoe, but discontinued it, and the narrow widths are unavailable. This is the first time I've tried an Eastland. It is narrow along the foot, but unlike the other two manufacturer's the heel does not correspond to a AA. My foot was slipping, and for the price of the shoe, I should not have to buy a heel insert, and they are more and more difficult to find anyway. It's a stylish shoe, but if you have narrow heels, it is unlikely to fit properly unless you get an insert, or shuffle while you walk.
I wanted a boot I could walk around campus in. After wearing them twice, the glue holding the sole on started to break. Really disappointed.
These are great shoes. I received them so quickly and I have done online shopping with a number of places and these shoes are so comfortable. I had such a good experience I bought 2 other pairs of shoes from different brands.
Love these shoes. They were comfy the first day out. Cute and great for work whether I'm at my desk or in the field.
I have worn many styles of Eastland oxfords over the years and love them; however, I was very disappointed to find that this shoe in a wide feels narrower than my older Eastland in a medium.
I've loved my old pair of Eastland clogs. I've had them for maybe 10 years. But these definitely run small, and I didn't like how the decorative seam goes right over the widest part of my foot. These are going back to Zappos.
I read the reviews above and people were saying that they run small. So I ordered a size larger (I am 6½) but then when they arrived they turned out to be way too large. So I returned them and get a 7, but sadly they are still too loose! Now again, I have to return them and get a 6½ luckily they still have one in stock. But these shoes do fit true to size.
