I recently purchased this carry on for my older teen daughter to take on our 9 day trip to the UK. We each just carried a tote bag and a carry on bag. I have another Eagle Creek bag that I used that is no longer made but is about the same size as this bag. Though the dimensions listed were just a bit larger than carry-on requirements for depth, 10" vs. 9", and this had me worried that it might not fit in the overhead bin, it fit just fine. We were on a 767 and the compartments were over the aisle seats. She had to turn it sideways for it to fit, not wheels out as some folks on other review websites have mentioned, but it fit just fine with room to spare. Anyway, as we were at our last hotel in London, and she had her clothes and souvenirs all over the floor in typical teenager style, I was thinking we might have to use the expander on her bag and check it through for the return trip home. To my amazement, she fit everything in without the expander option, and it closed easily and still fit in the overhead bin! It is a very well-made bag, nice and sturdy, attractive (she chose the green color) and I was biased as far as the brand because I love my own Eagle Creek bag. It is fairly lightweight, having compared it to a few other brands, and with the lifetime warranty, I felt like it was a great investment. Plus, with Zappos great customer service, I knew we could return it with ease, which or course we didn't.

Bought this as a carry-on for me and my 4yr old. Unbelievable quality! Very happy with design of the bag, but interior is a bit small. Opening up the extending zipper gives more room and I will keep the bag. Works best with their "packing system" pieces. Can't say enough about the high quality of these bags.

This is a wonderful carry on suitcase. It is sturdy, yet light weight and is designed well. I bought this for an early birthday gift for my husband. I am going to purchase one for myself.
I'd also recommend: Kipling used to be wonderful but they aren't as sturdy anymore.

Perfect airplane bag. It fits straight in on the newer planes. Yet it is very roomy. It's sturdy and the handle works well. It's also attractive. Less expensive than Tumi and is as good so far.
I'd also recommend: Tumi

Absolutely love this suitcase! Used it for a nine day beach/city vacation and worked beautifully with Eagle Creek's packing cubes. No more checked baggage fees for me. Zappos delivered ahead of time and in perfect condition. Five stars!
