I had high expectations for this purchase, however I quickly (within a week), became very disappointed with them because for one, the fabric on the bottom tore loose from both shoes and became a trip hazard, also the back of the heel on both broke down so I am constantly walking out of them, another trip hazard! They are on a short time frame and getting closer to the trash sooner than later. I am truly sorry I bought these. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

My son needed "nice" shoes for weekly school wear, and just recently moved into men's sizes. These were comfortable out of the box, though not quite as comfortable as his beloved Timberland Ecos (which don't come in men's sizes). He's happy with them, which makes me happy with them.

These slippers fall apart at the seams, the soles wear out big time towards the rear, and the rear ankle strip folds with wear over time. The brand is very cheap yet stylish and ticks all the boxes except for durability. However, I will not be buying anything Deer Stag make slippers again, and I would advise others to look elsewhere first. You should look at buying much higher-end brands because they better suit and sustain their value/worth, especially when it comes to durability...that's key. Deer Stag doesn't have that and it's a shame.

I bought these shoes a year ago. Initially I liked them but one year later the top outer surface of the shoe is completely decaying. They look awful and I'm having to replace them. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I can't recommend these shoes.

This was a replacement for a pair I had purchased 18 months prior. However in construction the shoe was very different. After the first couple outings, the shoe separated from the heel. As others noted, it's only glued in. I had them reglued locally, assuming it was a bad batch. No luck. Gave out after a few more outings. And the rubber where the sole meets the heel cracked too. This happened on my original pair. After 18 months. Not after a few weeks in service. Very disappointed with this shoe. Do not buy.

People and manufacturers with C width feet can't understand the importance of labeling shoes the proper width. On this shoe W is NOT 3E. It IS E size width. XW is typically 3E. The Brannock standard sizes should be adhered to exactly otherwise it wastes all of our time and money. Have not even worn them since I need to return.

Very stiff and uncomfortable. The only way I can wear them is with inserts. They also starting splitting down the side due to the stiffness and not being able to flex or "wrinkle" while breaking them in. I would not buy again. I do like the look of them though.

Simply put these shoes are cheap and will only last a short time. There are NO STITCHES holding the sole to the insole or "leather" upper. Only glue which allows the sole to come loose giving you that awesome "duck bill" foot. Waste of time & money if they are meant for daily or even weekly wear.

Shoes feel a full size too large so I bought an insert to make up for the size difference. I had bought these fall 2013. The heel is already torn off as mid summer 2014. Admittedly I do a lot of walking but still expected them to last longer. I would recommend paying a little more for better quality.

Used to buy this shoe in local stores but now not available locally. This is a great comfortable shoe at a modest price. Delivery was fast four days.

The stitching on the side between the sole and upper came apart within 30 days. Looking closely the stitching barely went through the uppers, leaving mostly glue to hold it together.

This was an exceptional purchase for my 83 year old father who suffers from arthritis. He swears that these shoes help him walk straighter and his knees don't hurt. They were a perfect fit and he loves them. Wears them everyday!

Very light and comfortable. Fits a tad bit large. The minute I took my first step in them the leather began to crack as if I had the shoes for months. A little polish would have fixed it, if I had kept the shoes. Well worth the money.

My husband has very wide feet, and these shoes are one of the few that fit. He also finds them very comfortable, and, for the price, they are remarkably well made and durable. This is a repeat purchase.

I have been buying Zappos shoes for several years now an when I order my size 9 3E that's what I need because I have wide feet. the last time I got 9 W, an I didn't realize it till the shoes broke my feet in. I'm very disappointed. I will buy another pair of shoes from you, but if I get the same 9W, that will be my last pair of shoes I get from Zappos, an I will return them.

The styling and the softness of the leather was great. I bought them for my grandson's school dance and they looked nice on his foot. Even though he prefers sneakers he liked the shoe.

I admit I am hard on my shoes. I wear the same pair each day to the office. History tells me that I wear them into the ground and then start all over with a new pair. Well, this was my "new" pair. I typically buy inexpensive shoes because I tend to wear shoes out pretty quickly. This was the worst pair of shoes I have ever bought. Zappos was kind enough to send me three replacement pairs after the sole separated from the shoe. Then the subsequent pairs had similar issues and the final pair's side-wall blew out. All in the course of four months total. Again, I admit I go through shoes fast but never this fast. I used to wear very cheap $20 shoes back and forth in the streets of Manhattan and even those lasted 3-4 months each. I will never buy Deer Stags again - they are cheaply made and not made to last. This shoe, while it is still one piece, feels and wears great but then after, it is a very fast downfall. Do yourself a favor and buy a shoe that costs a bit more but may be higher quality and worn for more miles.

I normally wear a 8.5 Extra Wide shoe. So I thought I'd take a chance on Zappos. When the shoes arrived I thought they were going to be too small, but upon putting them on, they fit perfectly. I've worn them every day to work for the last month and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The price was excellent and the quality is excellent as well.

This review comes after having these shoes for about 3 months. They are now "broken-in". Very pleased with how these look and fit. They are holding up really well, as I tend to abuse my shoes. I am about to purchase a second pair in brown.

These are very comfortable slippers. But the cloth on the bottom started to come off after a couple of weeks causing me to trip over it. Now a couple of months later and the soles are starting to come unglued causing me to trip over my own feet some more. I probably would have purchased something different if I would have known that these would only last a few months. I only wear them a few hours a day indoors on carpet and hardwood floors. They have never been worn outside. I definitely would not recommend them for older people as they are very dangerous!

Don't waste your time and money on these, they were as awful as everybody says, they last two months before they fell apart, sole came off, the top leather peeled.
