These boots are awesome. I don't use them for work because they are too nice. I wear them with some good jeans and a flannel. They are just a good looking comfortable boot.

Great boots, but the description is wrong in that these are NOT lined. It reads "smooth leather lining provides a comfortable next-to-skin feel," but there is no lining.

I bought these for my husband and he absolutely loves them. They are super comfortable and his feet are dry on a fall day on a Washington construction site. He tried on a lot of boots before these and these were perfect. We bought the medium width because that is all that they had and I was nervous because he wears wide Timberland boots but he said they were the perfect width and the toebox is perfect.

I bought these for my son who loves to hike above our house where it is quite steep and rocky. He loves these. He says they are comfy, grip the rocks, and are not too heavy like his other hiking boots. Also, they are waterproof which is great cause he goes rain or shine.

Great boot! I love Danner! I have two other pairs of Danner Acadia's and love them too I still wear all three for different occasions. Best boots ever! I got these for when I'm in the office and don't need a big boot like the Acadia. They are VERY comfortable with a lot of cushion- I have back pain and these boots actually help me feel better. The only thing is that they don't have a removable insert - so if you use an insert or orthotics, you can't with these because it will be too tight. They do come with an 'air-thotic' which is okay. I wear orthoditcs in my other shoes so I was worried at first, but I actually don t need them in these boots at all. I m fine just the way they are. All in all, I love them! I'll never by any other brand - I'm wearing Danner for Life!

Great shoe construction! Excellent fit - I usually wear an 8D in boots and 8 1/2 D or E in athletic shoes. 8D in this Danner boot fit perfect. Leather is a little stiff, but is high quality - and will break in well. It is well structured, not a huge amount of arch support - but has a substantial heel counter, which controls foot movement very well even if you require arch support. My only complaint is the sewed in fabric liner, sort of flips forward when I insert my foot. I can easily flip it back when my foot is in the shoe, but it is kind of a pain. Still I would rate this boot very high, and on par at this price point.

These are great shoes, and my second pair of Danners. Personally, I enjoy shoes with a wide toe box, Stan Smiths by Adidas are my all time favorite shoe; but these ones may just give them a run for their money. My first pair of Danners were their Crater Rim hiking shoe, which I was a 9.5EE. When I received these I noticed a slightly larger amount of heal slip than I was used to in my Crater Rims, and being a resident of Portland, I promptly went down to the local Danner factory store and they told me that for most people the Tramline runs about a 1/2 size large, so instead of a 9.5EE I needed a 9EE. No problem, luckily Zappos is best and I chose a good company to find the perfect fit for a shoe that will last.

I have had these boots for about 6 weeks now. I work and stand on concrete 8-10 hours a day I do not have one problem with sore feet now. These boots also offer really great breathability, I typically have very hot feet in boots (with lining) and these with no lining have been great. The only problem I had was breaking in the heel top portion of the boot (both boots) where the leather is folded over for the top of the boot. This area really rubbed the back of my leg. All I did for about 4 weeks was wear lambskin tape. After about 4 weeks of break in I did not have any problems. The leather really softens up. I would recommend these boots to someone who stands all day and works in a warm/hot environment.

Good boots. The eyelets on my first pair had some ragged edges that ripped through about four pairs of laces. I do concrete work and they are great summer boots. No insulation to heat your feet up. Im on my second pair now with no complaints. I plan on buying them again.

I think I'd love this boot after adding a 3/4 insert for arch support and a little break-in. For me, It's narrow across the ball of my foot, but I'm a little wide there anyway. Perfect boot for backcountry workers in the northwest.

Such a cool boot! Top notch, high end, hence the price...does not feel uncomfortable as far as I could tell even though I put them on right out of the box (Danner recommends rubbing some lexol over the leather to soften them a bit as they do need a break-in period)...despite the need for a break-in period that even Danner states, these were very nice straight upon getting...they are supposed to mold to your foot like a glove over time so I guess it will even get better. As for looks, really the reason I got them, they are like something out of a Bond movie, or the Eiger Sanction...very cool with a classic 40s/50s old school design. However, I'm not just a poser, I do use urban hiking boots for long photo treks (I'm a photographer) in either the city (hard pavement) or elsewhere...these are so high end and with such great, wide ground stability due to the large gripper sole, I feel very safe paying attention to my photos rather than worrying about tripping...and they have very good shock absorption too...right out the box. Just no comparison to less expensive brands, though I can understand paying less if you don't have the bucks...but if you can swing it, these not only are more than worth it, they should last for decades (according to many reviews, and how the quality looks to me). Plus you can get them resoled by Danner when the time comes. Also, made in the USA and made out of 1 piece of leather on the top, so much more durable, not having all those seams all over the place. A total winner!

These shoes are lighter than they look or than one would expect. They are comfortable from the first time you put them on. They do run a bit large. I ordered a 10.5 size but could have easily used a size 10. After using these shoes for a week, I ordered two pair of the higher top shoes and another pair of the underpass shoes for my son. All of the Danner shoes have been terrific. I haven't worn other shoes since receiving these.

Been trying to love Danners. But my feet aren't made for them. These boots are amazingly made, but are very narrow considering they are EE width.

What can I say, it's Made in America, and the craftsmanship was top notch! Can't say yet for the comfort as I'm still trying to break these shoes in; it does fit true to size and was pretty snug for EE width, especially near the metatarsal area. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the purchase, it does feel it would last a long time.

Been wearing these for a week now and love more every day. Harder to break in than the Chinese version but seems that's due to a better leather. I like to put polish on my boots and these take polish much better than the Quarry 3.0 I have worn in the past. I miss the padded ankle of the 3.0 but overall these seem to be a better boot by far.

Everything on the internet says size down a half size, I didn't, but you should. There is a slight slip in the heel (which will probably go away with break in) and room to move my foot side to side. If that bothers you, size down a half size, probably. There is no sort of arch support, the boot actually seems to be made with very little support so that you can put in your own arch and cushion/ liner, which is what I did. I don't feel there is a huge break in period, minus the slight slip in the heel, which I expect with most boots at first. The boot is a bit heavier than common shoes, if you're used to wearing gym shoes it'll bother you at first, but if you're a boot wearer it won't be noticeable. Only the heel and tongue is leather lined, the rest is a cloth that might protect the foot and keep it dry. Maybe. I don't plan to use them actually hiking or doing great walking so I'm not your person to talk to, but after wearing them about ten times I can say they are probably best for every day wear and city walking. Has a low height about chukka height, but the colors are accurately reflected on the Danner and the Zappos website. I would never recommend this style to my friends, because they're unique looking and I want to keep that style for myself, but I would recommend Danner causal boots to friends and enemies.

I've had these boots for several years now and still going strong. They are almost ready for a re-sole now after being worn nearly every day. The only "complaint" I have is that they are very stiff when new so I wore them every other day for a couple of weeks before they had conformed to my feet. After that they provided good protection from sticks, rocks etc. while hiking. The build is superior and it seems like the uppers will last forever. I rate comfort as good, getting better with use, as they aren't tennis shoes. They offer great protection from the elements though. They are totally waterproof, even standing in shallow water. I would recommend these boots to anyone wanting high quality of build and materials that will last a long time. I liked them enough to buy them for my sons.

These have a great, comfortable fit with no break-in needed. They are very well made. The stiff sole works great for me. They are waterproof and not too heavy. They are not super stylish- they looks like cop's shoes.

A sturdy shoe and would have kept it but it is not a D width very tight in toe. I'm a true 12 D and this is not 12 D.

After the painful break in process, these boots should hold up for many years. Don't expect to be able to wear these on a regular basis until you've broken them in. It took me a month and some very bad blisters on my Achilles heel. Comfort rating based on post break-in.

These are the best looking and most uncomfortable boots that I have ever owned, the design looks great but the folded leather on top of your foot is so uncomfortable that they are unwearable.
