Camper Reviews
Oh, I so wanted to love these shoes! I have two other pairs of Campers that I wear every single day so I'm a huge fan of the brand. However, as other reviews said these are quite narrow. The length was perfect and the leather was beautifully soft but the strap around the toes was too tight and the reason I returned them. The sole is soft, though not as soft as peu line.
I need a pair of sandal that will go with everything AND very comfy to walk long distance with for my up coming vacation. And I have been wearing them since I got them! they are so comfortable!
Love 'em! I'm a solid size 9 US, but I went with the size 40 and they fit like a dream: supple leather, nice soft insole, and a great flexible sole. Not overly supportive, but not without support either. A great, soft, lightweight shoe. Runs slightly narrow as well, but not a problem as the leather is soft and flexible. I got them in orange, and it's a nice medium, not loud, color. I love how they are unique but not too out there.
Love these flats! Pricier than another option I tried, but comfier and a little more stylish too. They run a little small in the length. I normally wear 10.5 and bought these in 11; they're still a bit snug and you can see the end of my big toe pushing at the leather a bit, but it's so buttery soft that I don't think it will be a problem. I like these so much I'm thinking of buying another color as well.
Decent shoe with some serious comfort issues. Basically what you see is what you get. I was looking for a flat, comfy street shoe that had a natural, foot-shaped toe box. This shoe comes through on all points except the comfy part. The flaw for me is that the top of the heel digs right into my Achilles. It's not rubbing, but adding near constant pressure so that I can only wear them for an hour at a time before the pain really sets in. No other Internet reviews mention poor heel design, so I'll chalk it up as incompatibility with my foot shape (I'm wearing the correct size). Unfortunately, after wearing a few days the fabric hasn't broken in. The lace design makes for easy on/off and a snug fit, although I would expect the tongue to either be sewn in or held in place by elastic inside the shoe - especially since this is a slip on. The tongue on the left shoe shifts all the way to the side despite being looped through the lace. Overall, I'd consider this shoe overpriced.
Super cute, super comfortable, and super versatile shoe! After reading reviews recommending going a size up, I don't regret it at all. It feels just a half size too big but the shoe is so comfortable that it doesn't bother me -- I just see it as more room my for wide feet.
I think the straps are flimsy and did not give me the feeling that my ankle was secure. There was also something off about the sole, but can't quite describe it. I ordered the EUR 7, when normally the EUR 7 also fits a 6 1/2, so I think the fact this shoe does not come in half sizes contributed to it feeling big all over.
I really like these sandals. Not quite as much as the full coverage shoe--only because the strap cuts into my foot a little--but just a little if you do a lot of walking. If not, they're supercute and supercomfy. I'd give them 5 if it weren't for the strap.
I already own this shoe in orange and as soon as I put it on it felt like an expensive lamb-skin glove. Super soft! So, I decided to get a pair in another color. Boy was I in for a surprise! This light gray shoe was terrible. It was very hard with itchy edges. It's as if it was not even the same brand, let alone the same model.
Unfortunately, I did not buy these shoes via Zappos. Totally regret it! They are too small, the leather is quite unyielding and they give me painful blisters when I wear them. Order a half/full size up. They are quite gorgeous, but the pain is not worth it.
These are the most comfortable shoes that I have, and I own many comfortable shoes! These shoes feel so soft and embracing, from the first moment I slipped them on. It is like putting on a pair of goose feathers pillows on your feet, yet they are so chic and cute. My feet are wide so usually it is a little hard for me to find something that is cozy and still looks nice, but these shoes do an amazing job at it! I have a couple of other Camper shoes in my closet, and they all run a little small - so get a size up from what you usually wear.
My husband loves these shoes, they're the perfect shape for his foot. You can adjust the lace somewhat for a custom fit.
These were lovely, especially in the silver, but sadly they were too narrow in the toe strap and were going rub my little toe just too much.
I have been searching for a sandal that I could walk in all day and not feel like I had shoes on at all. That's what I found in theses Camper's. I have problems with my feet, but they disappear when I wear these sandals! The best money I have ever spent. You will not be disappointed.
Incredible sandal! Lightest weight shoe I have had in a long time. Incredibly well made and the foot bed is amazingly comfortable. The leather is soft and supple, no "break in" time needed. I may better suited to a half size up... I typically wear between a 6 and 6.5, but I decided to keep the size 6 that I ordered because it's really close to perfect. If I get another pair I will most likely order a half size up just for a little extra room in the toe area.
Camper Pelotas are, unequivocally, the best shoes I've ever owned. I've purchased two pairs - one more than a decade ago - and both have proven to be durable and comfortable. I wore my first pair of Pelotas five times a week for ten years (and they're still in rotation!). They're indestructible...if you think Dr. Martens last forever, you're in for a huge surprise. Pros: Exceptional build and materials. The leather is supple and the stitching is top-notch. I've worn my Campers in sand and salt water. I've spilled gasoline on them. I've tromped through mud and left them in a hot car. You cannot wear these shoes out. The sole is likewise very durable. The signature Camper "bubble" tread takes awhile to wear in - for the first few months they are very slippery on wet floors - but ten years later the tread shows little evidence of wear. Cons: They tend to run a bit narrow for my taste. I order a size up to compensate and wear them with thick socks. The Peu Cami tends to run a bit wider, and is perfect to wear without socks. This may seem like a steep price for a pair of shoes. But you'll fall in love instantly and have them forever. Do it! Your feet will thank you. They deserve every accolade.
I assumed I'd like these as much as I like the Campers with the closed toe, but they didn't fit snugly enough on the top--the strap over your foot. Also, I wasn't a fan of how they looked on my foot.
Just wore these yesterday (after purchasing them a month ago). The shoe felt so snug, wasn't sure they would work and was debating about returning them. Glad I didn't. They stretched enough to be comfortable. The footbed is so soft and the leather so buttery that the shoe feels so nice on your foot. I have big, wide feet and have trouble finding flats that don't hurt. But these are really nice (more comfy than the French Soles I have). I bought a half size bigger than normal and they were still snug. Size up.
I have about a dozen pairs of camper shoes and every pair is a 40 and most fit differently. This style, and all the styles with the same sole, fits a full size smaller. My toes are touching the edge in this pair. I am returning them and might try to size up. They are very cute and make an excellent sandal for people who dont really like sandals. Its more like a shoe but with the air-conditioning of a sandal. Would be cute with socks too! I love all my camper shoes but this style always runs small.
