Starting with a pair of Under Armor shoes and switching to these on the recommendation of an English bloke. HOLY DIFFERENCE! I'm amazed at the way my feet don't hurt anymore. I'm amazed that I can run longer and not have shin splints. Not to happy with the fact that my white socks turn black due to the interior lining rubbing off when I sweat, but bleach fixes that pretty easy.

I bought the Brooks Vapor because my ankles tend to roll in (pronate), and the shoes are designed to provide support on the inside of the heel where I need it. That said, the shoes take some getting used to. I've only had them a week, but so far I am pleased with them.

Shoe was not a good fit for me. Heel slipped out of the shoe. It was a small 8 on me. Not quite a 1/2 size smaller. I have heard great comments about Brooks running shoes, and hopefully can find one that fits.
I'd also recommend: Asics

I'm a large footed (11.5) pronator with chondromalacia patella. I know, I know, you wish you were me! I'd had luck with Brooks runners before and these sounded like a good bet for me but no. The toe box was a little too short and a little too snug and while I don't doubt these sneaks have excellent stability control they felt unyieldingly stiff. They're being returned.
