Briggs & Riley Reviews

Great travel bag. This is a light tote while being sturdy with very comfortable shoulder straps. I'd been looking for that bag to accompany my rolling carry-on that could hold plenty of items and still fit under the seat. I was really impressed by the organization, lots of efficient pockets. Not sure why it's advertised as a shopping tote, though it could certainly work for that. I think it's a wonderful travel tote. I own other Briggs & Riley and am very impressed with the quality and warranty.
I already have the backpack and a larger bag in this range in this colour so this fits perfectly in my collection and as usual, very impressed...

Okay it is a little concerning when a product has a warning that says it contains chemicals known in the state of California to cause cancer. I'll just try really hard not to burn this bag and inhale the fumes. That said, it's the perfect size as a carry-on or day bag. I can fit a pair of shoes, change of clothes, small laptop or tablet (in the front compartment), light jacket, and toiletries. I really love the B&R toiletry bag I have from 2009, which is why I bought this carry-on tote. I was pleased that this was made of the same durable material. It's a really sturdy bag but also flexible enough to conform to your packing needs. As their products generally are, this bag is double-lined so it will protect your belongings better, and also be easy to clean. The shoulder strap is very comfortable and provides a little bit of stretch. This is a great bag and very professional looking.
This review is in no way a reflection on Zappos who handled a number of issues with their extraordinary customer service. For the price the bag has significant defects. The front panel which holds the computer cannot be locked. The handle feels flimsy and wobbles. There is no protection for the zippers so when it rains (and it did) water can get through the zippers into the interior. Pulling the bag over cobble stones and rough pavement the wheels are adequate but not much more. The touted outside frame for the handle has no benefit since it reduces the interior space. If you want a flat packing surface put socks/underwear/etc in the depressions of a regularly configured bag and you still have a flat surface The bag is probably fine for airport to cab travel but outside of the airport it does not qualify as "adventure" luggage in any sense.
This bag was perfect for what I needed. The slip over that allows me to slide it onto my roller bag worked great. I also slid the handles over...no more tipping! Just the right size and I was able to slide it under the seat in front of me. not too tall. Lots of room, many pockets...I can't wait to travel again with this bag. You should buy this bag!
Very well constructed. Flat bottom, stands on its own. Comfortable straps, feels light when carrying heavy loads. Front pocket could use a wider gusset, but very happy with purchase.
