Very good looking shoes. Prompt delivery. Most comfortable shoes right out of the box I've ever had. Size was true.

Gimme a Wide Toe Box: I am Not a Genie! Short review: These are good shoes. Long version: My foot does not seat well in Aladdin-style shoes. I am referring to those that protrude two or three inches beyond the toes and permanently curl after a couple months wear. (Hang a bell on the end and you are there.) The alternative is the Pilgrim-style shoes. (Again long, but with square toes.) These are more comfortable, but still poke out an extra few inches and look nothing short of dorky. One can complete the look with a musket and Santa Clause belt. All I want is comfortable, professional looking dress shoes! I do not think that is asking too much! In my quest I tried lace-ups from the likes of Florsheim, Johnston Murphy, ECCO, and Cole Haan. From A-Es to Rockports. Wingtips. Cap toes. Bluchers. Oxfords. Priced from $400 to $100. My search led me through more in-depth dribble than I really cared to know on matters such as shoe lasts and sole stitching. All the contenders were too long (think cross country skis) and squashed my toes. What is crazy is that I actually measure a C width, but never tried anything narrower than D width. I was about to give up, but then I read a review noting that the Calhoun Limit had a wide toe box. So I ordered them skeptically thinking that a hundred dollar pair of shoes would look like a hundred dollar pair of shoes. Actually, they are not that bad; and the toe box IS wide. Or, at least by comparison it is wide. My toes can wiggle (if I so choose). These are comfortable and that is of paramount importance because when I am in black dress shoes it is a sure bet that I will be on my feet for hours. - These shoes look good. - They display professionally with dark suits. - They are comfortable. - They appear well built, but time will judge. Granted, they are not Allen-Edmonds. But for 400 bucks I can buy four pair, and that will last a while. And most will not know the difference from six feet above. After two months of search I finally have a pair of dress shoes that are comfortable and look professional. What a concept. Thanks Zappos! No one, nowhere, no-way matches the selection and service of Zappos.

A classic businessman's shoe with a classic fit. Standard for the financial district - not technoventureland.

The shoes felt tight and did not seem to give the way other shoes do, with wear. I don't know if something was wrong with the right shoe, but there was a significant issue with the arch support area. It caused significant discomfort in my right foot -- this issue also did not dissipate with wear.

I ordered these in 15 Medium, which is what I wear in a sneaker. Once they arrived, I was EXTREMELY pleased with their very stylish appearance and comfort. Unfortunately, I should have ordered a 14 Wide, which was out of stock. I ended up ordering a pair of Eccos in the same price point. I'll be watching to see if they come back in. I wholeheartedly recommend these!

I wanted to love this shoe, but couldn't find one that fit. I'm as average as they come; 10.5D-11D, and I fit in a 9.5D on this shoe, but the D width was still too wide. Had to send them back. Style in the cherry color was very nice.

Nice shoe, comfortable out of the box. Interesting in that it is a little dressier than a penny loafer yet still kind of casual. I think it is attractive. Am hoping to get long life out of the rubber sole and heel.

Wide forefoot. Relatively round/short toe-box. Slippery leather sole is probably good for dancing.

So far so good. Had them over a month now and they are very light weight. I do get a tiny pinch on the small toe - but they are stretching out now. They polish well and look great. Hopefully the sole holds up as well. I'd buy them again if I needed them.

This was my fourth purchase from Zappos, and once again, it was a pleasant experience. Very quick service, with product arriving as advertised. good people to deal with.

I'm an off-the-rack size 12. I found these to be a little wide. The shoes felt very slippery on non-carpeted surfaces. The style was such that they had a bit of an orthopedic look somehow. Not super-elegant looking.

Fit absolutely beautifully and super-comfortable. I'm a size 12 off the rack, and this was perfect. I hated to return it. But ultimately, it didn't seem quite dressy enough for a nice black suit. And for me - a little too dressy for jeans.

Very comfortable but buyer beware, it has a stretch fabric behind the lacing that looks foolish. Like it doesn't know if it is a shoe or a loafer. Kind of like suit pants with a stretch waist.

Well made but has a solid (and slick) sole with a very solid heel. No cushioning. Not comfortable if you need to walk in them for very long.

Over size 12 BEWARE!! I ordered a pair of these in 14N, and they were very tight. I exchanged them for a wider width, only to have the same issue. Upon further review, I realized that BOTH pairs were marked "Mens 12/13" inside the tongue. A followup with the online support here confirmed that they had "mis-boxed a batch" of them. Customer service provided restitution for the debacle, but I would warn against ordering these if you wear >12. Also, as others pointed out--having previously owned a pair of Bostonian shoes that were made in Italy, it was disappointing to see that these were a product of elsewhere.

These shoes are very snazzy and I have gotten many complements from them. Beware, they are INCREDIBLY narrow like italian-style shoes (narrow and very long in the toe area) and do not fit like other Bostonian-brand shoes. They were a little too narrow for me when they arrived and I thought they would stretch a bit, which they did. Still the narrowest fitting shoe I own.

These are very light weight and didn't need a break in period. I got no blisters when I first started wearing them. They are very comfortable.

You should not buy this shoe, and let me tell you why; 1) the uppers as so stiff they will hurt when you walk, and 2) the soles slide on all surfaces be they concrete, wood, grass, carpet, marble. Coming out of the box the shoe looks beautiful, but they are tough to get used to. I am not sure what Bostonian Luxe means - maybe their cheap line? - but I can tell you I was not happy at all.

These are good shoes for the price. They are not the most stylish shoes, but they look better than the comparable Johnston & Murphy or Allen Edmonds. They are well made. I am keeping them. But size 10 feels more like 10½.

I liked the look of these shoes, but when I first put them on and laced them up tight I felt pain across the top of my foot, beneath the shoes' laces. I should have returned them right away, but I laced them more loosely and hoped that they would "break in" in a couple days. In fact, it took months of daily wear for them to break in to the point that they didn't hurt my feet. Also, there isn't much arch support. The insole isn't removable and there isn't enough room inside the shoes to insert my own insoles for extra support. After about 9 months of weekday wear, the soles wore through and I decided to retire them for a more comfortable pair rather than try to repair them. The heels of these shoes are hard and will make loud clicky sounds as you walk on pavement or tiled floors.
