Bloch Reviews
These shoes are great! I like them a lot. They're cute, fit nicely, and are quite comfortable. The only thing is that they're pretty flat so they can hurt my feet if I walk too much. But otherwise, they're a great buy!
These are very comfortable and stylish in a minimalist, classic way. If you are used to wearing flats or barefoot style shoes, these are very comfy. They do run a full size small. I usually wear a 39 in European sizes, but I wear a 40 in this style. Do not let that deter you. The toe box was originally too snug, but he leather is very soft and loosened up within a day or 2. I wish Zappos sold them in other colors or textures, because I would definitely buy more!
These are so pretty! They look gorgeous when you point your toes. I love a split sole dance shoe! I ordered a 6 1/2. My normal street shoe is a 9. (Sometimes an 8 1/2, but usually a 9). These fit perfectly. Love them!
I loved the shoes but couldn't even get them onto my feet, and I bought them a half size larger than what I normally wear. They are adorable, but they're on their way back to Zappos!
I have another Bloch dance sneakers and I love them. They are very sturdy and very supportive. I am a zumba instructor and love Bloch dance sneakers. I usually wear 6 for regular shoes, 7 for sneakers. But, I bought 8 for Bloch dance sneakers. They are quiet narrow so order at least one size bigger than your normal shoes size. Love this style and color!
Loved this shoe! I bought it for Zumba for a little extra ankle support. It has a great spin spot and works on multiple floor types with ease. Non marking sole makes the gym owner happy, and the bright red color grabs everyone's attention. Love them - would definitely rebuy!
I like these shoes but they are not my favorites. I bought a size 8 and I am usually a 7½. The 8 fit well. I bought them for zumba but on the hard wood floor they are a little too slippery. I do not feel like I have the traction that I need.
I am an instructor and I bought this for my Zumba and Bollywoord Aerobics classes. These shoes are ok for low impact workouts but be aware, they do not offer enough support. I ended up with plantar fasciitis after using these for a few months. These shoes are great for lateral movement but I strongly recommend sports insoles. They are also a pain to get on and off as they run narrower in the toe box. I had to really loosen the laces quite a bit to get my feet in, and then tighten them all the way to get the right fit. That is time consuming!
Tried with Tracy Anderson Method cardio which is even harder on the ball of your foot than Zumba, which I also do. Found that this shoe was a bit narrower at the widest point I was also disappointed in the lack of arch support, however as far as Bloch's shoes go I thought this shoe at least has the MOST padding in the ball of the foot than ALL their dance fitness shoes. The shoe was light and flexible too. I would say that if it had a tiny bit more width and arch support I would keep it, but because it is lacking I will have to send it back.
Way too small! I read the reviews so I ordered a half size up (I am normally a size 7, so I ordered a 7 1/2 ). They were still way too small - so I would order at least one size larger than you normally do.
LOVE these shoes. I was a dancer for many years and had old school Bloch dance sneakers w/ the split sole. I couldn't find mine (after 10 yrs! HA!) and wanted to get a pair that would serve me well for zumba. I went with these b/c they did NOT have the split sole (I wanted something more stable), they had the plastic portion at the ball of the foot that allows for easy turning and quick change, and heck, I LOVED the color. These are incredibly light weight. On a cold day I could feel the breeze straight through the mesh fabric. There isn't really much in the way of support between you and the floor, so I wouldn't plan on wearing these anywhere outside of class or the gym. I've used them for weight work and elliptical work and they're fine, but I'd honestly recommend sturdier shoes for that. For zumba, though, they're perfect. I typically wear 8.5 - 9 and tend to run a little wide. Zappos was out of stock of 9's so I chanced it and went w/ an 8.5 They run a little small and hug your feet pretty tight, so I kind of wished I would've been able to get a 9, but I still use them. The only reason I'd get a different pair is b/c I'd prefer a 1/2 size larger. Otherwise, ADORE this shoe. I get comments on them all the time.
When I first put these on I wasn't so sure...they weren't the most comfy and I honestly didn't think they would work for me, especially when compared to how the Reebok RealFlex Fusions felt...but I tried them in Zumba class...and loved them! They were way more comfortable than I had imagined. Love. Read the reviews and take the advice - order a full size up.

These shoes are fantastic. I wear them for Zumba and also whenever I feel like it. But keep in mind...these are dance shoes and the fit is a lot different than a normal walking shoe. I have a very high arch and my foot is wide across the ball of my foot. These shoes are definitely different than other shoes.

I ordered 4 different pair of dance sneakers and found these to be the best fit for me. I normally wear a size 7, but took Zappos' advice and ordered an 8, which fit great. They are lightweight, flexible and very comfortable. Just perfect for my Zumba classes.
I just started taking ballroom dance lessons. These were my first pair ever. I bought them a half size bigger as I noticed that many dancers' feet would hang over the edge of their shoe. I'm glad I did, as they run a half size small. The fit was comfortable. My lesson went well, no sore feet, no blisters, a good height, and they were comfortable.
This shoe is perfect for Zumba. I bought them so I didn't aggravate an old knee injury and because they are extremely cute! Other reviewers said the sole was a little too slippery but I don't find that to be true at all. It provides exactly what you need but you definitely need to buy a size larger than you normally wear as they run small. I ballroom dance too and know how important it is to wear the correct shoes. Everyody wants to know where they can buy a pair so I'm recommending Zappos because of the free shipping and returns. Will definitely be buying another pair. Great shoe! Good price!
I usually wear size 6 or 6.5, so I ordered 37 -- too big! I measured my foot length. It was 22.5 cm. The 36.5 fit like a glove.
As always, Zappos delivered these very quickly with no hassles. The shoes themselves look cute and walking around on carpet at home, I had no trouble with them. The flat surface on the bottom definitely helps with turns. However, in Zumba class it is another story. They hurt. Screamin' toe hurt! I usually wear 7-7 1/2 so ordered an 8. Maybe that wasn't big enough or wide enough. Even laces loosened they still ache. Unfortunately I've worn them on the wood floor at the studio so they can't be returned. Rather disappointed that they felt so bad.
I bought these shoes in black the first time, and liked them so much I bought the Blue Gitanes pair too. The color is just stunning. I have gotten so many compliments! Buy a half-size larger than you normally would, or else you will not be happy. They may seem a little tight on the first wearing but they mold to your foot nicely. They get very comfortable very quickly, and they are great for year-round. I am already saving up to get another color. If only I could decide... red or pink?
I ordered a size and a half larger but needed just one size. They are awesome shoes but had to return to get smaller size. Great for Zumba

Bloch´s philosophy of listening to dancers is still as strong today as it was when Jacob Bloch made his first pair of pointe shoes in 1932. Bloch arrived from Europe in 1931 at the height of the Great Depression and began making shoes by hand in the workshop where he lived.
