Black Diamond Reviews
I bought this headlamp to use for an overnight running relay in California and it was perfect! It is much brighter than most headlamps and the ability to charge via USB was an incredible pro. It stayed in place while running and was not too heavy. I highly recommend this product!
Nice fit and weight...I use them for sailing so I want to be able to keep fingers flexible and yet warm. They slip on and off and stuff in my pockets with ease.
I purchased this gloves because I was going to London and it was very cold and this gloves were supposed to keep my hands warm but they didn't and it was like I was wearing nothing at all!
These gloves run very big! I usually order a Large in women's sizes, so I ordered a medium in this glove, and my hands were swimming in the glove. I tried a small, and it fits great - still quite roomy. I love the warmth of these gloves, and they seem to be well made. The magnetic flap is perfect - much easier to manage than the buttons I've had on some other mitten/gloves.
Great gloves. They are warm for their bulk and weight, good for running in cold weather. I have long fingers but not large hands and these fit very well. They are replacements for the previous pair I wore out. Glad to have found them again.
These gloves fit nicely and keep my hands warm. They're not the thickest, nor do they allow me to use touch screens while wearing them. But they're not too bulky, and I can wear these in well below freezing temperatures. One of the things I like the most is that they actually fit! I have smaller hands, and finding gloves that fit is a pain in the butt. But these fit great!
Very warm. Fit great. I wore them in NYC on a 25-ish dregree day and it was windy. These gloves did a great job of keeping the wind from cutting through.
I LOVE THESE GLOVES! They are lightweight but very warm! I wore them in 21 degree weather today and my hands were comfortable. Also, they are thin enough to maneuver keys and keep a good grip on my dog's leash. Just bought two more pairs for my daughter and my mom. A wise purchase!
This is exactly what I wanted. A smallish day pack with comfort that would hold my gear securely to me for road or mountain biking or hiking and running. I didn't want a ton of pockets to have to search through and this backpack is perfect. My 1.5 L camelbak fits perfectly. The bite valve guide and holder are nice touches that are perfectly placed like the designers actually used a hydration kit. My Mac air fits easily along with the supplies for a day out. It doesn't sit too high and interfere with my helmet. The backpack is still stiff and needs some breaking in but I can already see that the bottom strap anchors help the comfort. I like that the waist trap is light and I can get it out of my way when not using it. It's great that there is a bike light holder. I wish there was some reflective material. I think I can modify the pole holder to secure my helmet when off the bike.
I use these gloves for two things - running around in the mountains and working out in my outdoor gym. They are perfect for both those applications. I love how they are super-absorbent for nose-wipes while running. They don't block 100% of the wind while running (more like 80%) but they breathe like crazy and keep my hands really comfortable. The leather palms are great for barbell work and pullups while working out. Knowing Black Diamond quality, these will no doubt hold up for a while. Finally, the long gauntlet fits perfectly under my sleeves, keeping cold air out. Really great product.
I love these gloves for moderately cold days. They fit well and are comfortable for pushing the stroller and driving. I do find that when temperatures drop these aren't quite thick enough, but they are still my go-to pair of gloves on most days.
The thumb is completely covered which hampers texting on my iPhone. I am female, 5'5", thin with long fingers so I bought them in size small. I wish the fit was more snug, but I am too lazy to send them back. I should have ordered in size extra small or not at all because of the covered thumb. I am going back to buying mitten/gloves at EMS next year.
This bag is comfortable and is definitely well made. I have found that is is a great bag once packed, however these are the downsides I have experienced: 1) I wish the internal "for keys" pocket was slightly bigger. 2) My 13" laptop fits in the pouch, but is a pain to get in and out. The asymmetrical zipper doesn't allow the top flap of the backpack to roll out of the way. 3) It is easy for a water bottle to fall out of the side pockets. With all that said, I am happily keeping the bag. It's a great price and I'm adaptable to the glitches.
Another great product from Black Diamond. I am on a K9 Search and Rescue team and wanted an all-purpose gaiter. This one fit the bill perfectly. Only knock is I'm not sure I like the retention cord across the sole. It functions, but you must secure it with a stopper knot.
This is one of my favorite packs of all time. Features include: Sturdy, mostly ballistics cloth throughout. Padded framesheet back. Hydration compatible. A big wide zippered mouth that's easy to get into (ditto for the front organizer pocket, though if you pack the main compartment tight it's a little harder to get into). I particularly like the omission of storm flaps. If it's going to rain, I'll put a liner in the bag and rain won't matter. If it's not going to rain, then storm flaps would just get in the way and make it harder to open and close the zipper -- see the BD Shot (essentially a BD Bullet with a back panel and flaps over the zippers) for an example of that kind of pack. All in all, this series of similarly designed (though differently sized packs) -- the ultralight and frameless Bullet (16L), the frame sheet stiffened Hollowpoint (20L), and the husky Dart -- do it all. For most, 30 liters would be a good size for a trip abroad or a more-technical peak. If that's too much, the Hollowpoint is pretty similar and just missing 10 liters.
It has an IPX rating of 4. Protected against splashing water - Same as IPX-3 but water is sprayed at all angles. http://www.gps-home.com/waterproof-rating.aspx
I bought this for my father for a birthday gift and he loves it! It is perfect to take four wheeling or hiking while holding your personal belongings.
Cute, comfortable, but stopped working after only 1 month of use. I work at a summer camp with no electricity so we use headlamps in the evenings to clean up and wash dishes in the outdoor kitchen. When I try to turn it on it flashes once and then turns itself off. When I ordered this one I also ordered a Petzl and it is still working fine.
Handy lamp that I use for talks to campers on nature themes. The dimmer feature is great. Seems to be well made. Have not had it long enough to determine battery life with it. Telescopes open and closed so packs into small space.
Awesome bag! Used it for the first time today, carrying about a 25 lb load. The strap and belt arrangements fit very well for me and the load felt like nothing. I felt very confident, even while negotiating a rock face today. I like the zipper access rather than the roll top design for my purposes. The materials, and design are all first rate!
