The shoe is very soft and comfortable, not like the other two Bass loafers that I own that are comfortable but the leather is not as soft. I really like this shoe.

I ordered the burgundy leather in a wider size after reading reviews and I am very glad I did! This show in a regular width would have been too tight. And though I think these will eventually be fine, they are the stiffest pair of shoes I've ever had! I think they will eventually get broken in and relax but they are very stiff.

I bought these shoes a half size down after reading reviews and they were way too small. I had to return them and then saw the pair that have a man mad sole so ordered them instead. Also, they were very burgundy and shiny, a little too much for my taste.

I love these adorable boots! I wear a size WW but took a risk and ordered them anyway. Because of the cut and lack of seaming in the instep, they fit without pinching. I rated comfort average due to heel height.

These are great looking shoes! I bought a few different sizes for my son and my husband ended up keeping a pair too! I highly recommend.

A classic that never goes out of style and a staple that goes with everything. But they're not kidding when they say they run big! Go a half size down!

It was an unusual process. the first were a little large, but the finish was too flat to be proper Bass Wejuns. Then the smaller size arrived color was traditional, and the fit on the left show was perfect. I couldn't get my right foot in the shoe. Third time was the charm, I got both cordavan and black 7 W and they looked right. Absolutely thrilled. These loafers have always been stiff and take some breaking in. I wouldn't pick them for a long day out right out of the box, but they are a classic.

These are a great way to dress up a pair of jeans. They are comfortable right out of the box, but don't offer much for arch support.

I think these would be great if they were true size. Heel height is great. Returning for 1/2 size larger.

I have Parkinson's Disease which limits my mobility. I bought these shoes (my second pair) because they are extremely comfortable and easy to slip on. They are a cross between a slipper and a shoe. I like the rubber heel for driving. I found them to be a bit pricey considering that I wore a hole through the toe (due to my "Parkinson's shuffle." A slight modification to the design (extend the sole to the front of the toe) and you would be doing a great service to Parkinson's suffers and anyone else who shuffles their feet.

Very comfortable. A little narrow around the toe, so I should have gotten the wider size. But everything else is nice and very cute!

Bought these for my husband in a 3E width. They were too narrow. Had to return them. Color was good. He said they were "cheap" looking though.

These are the shoes I'll wear forever. I got them in brown a year and a half ago, wore them until they completely fell apart, and have now broken in the gray pair. Really comfortable (after about a week), stylish enough to go with nice clothes, but also match normal street clothes too.

This comfortable bootie was wearable right out of the box, which I did for a whole day without any discomfort. No break in was needed. I wear a 6 medium and have bunions on both feet. I also no longer can wear any heels that are higher than 1 3/4" as the pressure on the bunions is uncomfortable and even with that said, I have to find dress shoes with a lot of give in the toe box with materials such as microfiber, or find a lower kitten heel. The 2 inch heel didn't bother me at all. I loved that I could get the extra height as I am short. It is a very stable and well balanced boot, you don't feel as if you are walking on heels, they feel as comfortable as flats. I wanted to try booties and I bought this Bass Paloma and the Clarks Skye Belle in black. Both were comfortable, but the Paloma was slightly more comfortable in the toe box, may be a hair more width. Both were easy to get on, but the Bass Paloma is slightly more sophisticated than the Skye Belle in that the heel is the same color as the boot and the buckle detail is lower down on the boot, allowing it to be seen with trousers or boot cut pants. I don't wear leggings or straight jeans, nor would I wear these booties with a skirt at my age and also because I am a very short woman and that would cut off my legs. Every bootie has the buckle or chain details too high to be of interest when wearing a flared or boot cut pant, so the Paloma really looks wonderful with those. The heel/ankle part was wider and not snug, but my heel did not slip out or rub. I had absolutely no rubbing or blister issue. I did wear a low ankle no see sock. I could not believe I could wear this all day with no pain or discomfort. I usually wear orthotics inside of black sneakers every day at my work in a health clinic and I did not put my orthotics in these and I had no pain. I think someone with a narrow foot might find these too wide. They don't come in a narrow width here at Zappos. I can highly recommend these based on looks and comfort. I am ordering another pair in the Cognac.

I compared the Bass Enfield with the less expensive School Issue Varsity saddle shoe. I give both the top rating in every category, with the Bass having a slight edge in comfort. It's a softer leather. It's more streamlined than what I'd call the more "traditional" saddle shoe for the School Issue Varsity. The School Issue has a larger, more rounded toe box and seems a little stiffer. I do like its white tongue, which I think gives it a more retro look.

Ordered a 7- D but I could barely get my foot into them. I used to take 4-E then I had bunion surgery. I thought I would be able to find shoes that finally fit in something wouldn't ashamed to wear in dress casual but alas. These are about the 18th pair of shoes I've tried. Sigh...guess it's back to the old New Balances. I wish you sold feet.

This Bass shoe has great features but it runs too big. I'd recommend to buy 1 size smaller than usual. The hard leather at first may be uncomfortable, but with time I got used to it. Yes, I would recommend it.
