Asolo´s goal is to create great footwear for all of your outdoor needs, in all conditions, at all altitudes: from light walking to hiking, from backpacking to the most treacherous climbing - whether it be on ice or mixed terrain. The footwear is designed around the foot; flexible, lightweight, and at the same time, highly resistant. Fit and performance are major strengths for this design. The breathable footwear is able to shock-absorb even on the toughest terrains, while keeping away humidity, water, and cold weather. The highly researched soles are constructed in such a way that they will prevent slips and falls on the most slippery of terrains.
Since the beginning, Asolo is connected with experiences and people who live for the mountain. Together with the brand, they test boots that have been developed for the alpine/mountaineering athletes and for all people who "live" the mountain with love and passion.

What more can you say about boots with 39 reviews and they still have a five star rating? I just bought my third pair, they are the only boots that I have worn for the past four years and I wear them every day, I also added the Spenco ¾ arch support.

I am very disappointed with this product. I have been wearing them for two weeks for 8-9 hours a day. The cuff is so poorly designed and crafted that it has hard pressure points under the lace points resulting in extreme pain. I have cut them out to make the boots wearable. The fit has changed to much in over all volume and width due to material compaction I have added an addition insole and 3 layers of duct tape on the original to secure my foot in the boot. The 10.5 was to short the 11 is way to big indicating to me a cheap lasting program. Avoid this entire series of Asolo products unless you have a high volume foot.

I got these by request for Christmas. (Thanks babe!) My intended uses for these are some light hiking and as everyday footwear for work (Plain-clothes Law Enforcement), so your mileage may vary! It took about two weeks of moderately painful daily wear to break them in. The insole that came in the boots didn't like my feet. It was very thin and offered zero arch support. I replaced them with a pair of "Spenco PolySorb Total Support" insoles, and the comfort is now perfect. This is a well built boot that should last a long time based on my prior Asolo boot experiences. So I would not rush to judgment if at first you find the Flame GTX uncomfortable for your feet. Break 'em in and/or try some better insoles.

As a geologist, I need good supportive shoes that will last me a long time in rough terrain. I bought these boots just before I spent 2 weeks in the field. For 14 consecutive days, I hiked an average of 4 miles per day. These boots are very supportive, fit my wide foot very well, and appear to be durable. Definitely another excellent Asolo product. Keep in mind that I ordered the EE width version.

My first pair of hiking boots. Didn't intend spending this much money, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. Took three days to break in around ankles...now they are my shoe-of-choice for everyday wear. Comfortable. supportive and give a great sense of security over any terrain from sidewalk to wilderness.
