These are excellent shoes. As the owner of seven pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes, I can say that my brown Sheltons are my favorite. I have a pair of the burgundy and black Sheltons as well. Not surprisingly they're just as comfortable although I find the color scheme to be a touch more restrictive. It's tough to dress the burgundy and black pair down. The brown pair easily transition from wool slacks to jeans.

I have returned 2 pairs of these due to poor quality. I have another pair of the Sheltons in burg/black and have owned 2 pairs of the Polo's. None have had the quality issues shown in this variant. I gave the style 5 stars because I like the look. 4 stars on comfort based on the other pair of Sheltons I own. But they really blew it on the execution of this model (brn/brn).

I needed a new pair of saddle oxfords and these fit the bill. Nice style that goes very well with khakis. I expect to wear these for many years. Surprisingly comfortable given the leather soles, but I'm not on my feet all day either. A little pricey, but they are a high quality shoe made in U.S.A., so I don't mind paying a little extra for that. Buying from Zappos is easy and returns are painless.

I have had the same pair in burgundy and black since April 2007 (almost five years). They are my go-to dress shoes for a navy suit, and also look great with some tan dress pants. I have gotten lots of compliments on these shoes and highly recommend them. They are well worth the cost, and still going strong!

These shoes are stylish and made of top-notch materials. My only knock on them is that they don't seem to be as comfortable as I expected an expensive pair of shoes to be. The interior seems to lack any kind of padding.
