Well guys, this is the finest trail shoe probably in the world. The fit is absolutely awesome, with firmness yet flexibility. Stepping on rocks or roots, you can feel the shoe protect your soles like a boot would. Grippy outersoles on any surface including wet mossy rock or slippery boulders. Ever drive on Continental tires in the winter? Then you know...completely waterproof yet breathing through Gore-Tex. I am an 11 but I like getting 11 1/2 for the extra toe space and these Adidas did not disappoint. Rating? Off the chart.

Update to my previously written review: After trying to acquire replacement laces from Zappos and also searching the internet the world over, I have had no luck. So I decided to contact Adidas directly for replacement laces, telling myself "Surely the company who makes the shoes will have them." To my disbelief, Adidas does not have replacement laces. Following is the customer service ticket conversation between myself and Adidas. Bottom line - as things stand right now, you will never be able to get a replacement pair of laces for these shoes, so think carefully before purchasing. Reply from Adidas after asking for replacement laces: "While adidas does not produce replacement shoe laces at this time, we can recommend a few companies who do carry a broad selection of laces in different lengths and colors: [list] Replacement laces can also be found at the following retailers, usually found at the local mall: [list] Kind regards, Adidas" My reply back: While I appreciate you taking the time to reply, the substance of the reply falls far short of what I would call good customer service. The first website you reference is such a horrible site that I would be ashamed to direct customers who have purchased goods from a company like Adidas to it. Further, neither that site or the other one you reference carry the style of laces used in the Terrex Swift R. I'm not crazy about driving around hunting for laces when the question should be definitively answered by the company who makes the shoes. It's Adidas who should be able to provide a definitive solution for replacement laces. Moreover, Adidas should make them available through customer service and also supply their retailers/e-tailers. Your loss; The shoes will be returned and my review will include our conversation.

Very happy with my choice. Comfortable and warm. Not too chunky or heavy. Great for being active while in the cold.

I absolutely love these shoes except for one exception, and it's a biggie; You can't find replacement shoe laces for them. That's a problem if your puppy finds them delicious (or I suppose if you break one). I'd be more than happy to fork over some money to get some laces - and append my review to where it should be.

Love these shoes. Great for post snow adventures when full boots seem to be overkill. Cute to wear with jeans or leggings. Heels keep very warm, need thicker socks to keep toes warm.

Stiff, unbelievably squeaky. Had to return them. Nothing worse than squeaking while you walk (on wood floor, tile, concrete...), standard urban surfaces.

Comfy, warm shoe with cool style. Soft enough to wear around house yet warm and weather resistant if you gotta run over to the store.

Very lightweight and comfortable, no problems driving in them, which was really a key factor for me. Lace quickly, but is kind of a weird system, and hopefully laces won't break, as that don't appear replaceable.

There doesn't seem to be any consensus among reviews as to whether these shoes run smaller or larger than stated. I personally found them to be a half size too big (normally wear 10.5 had to return them for 10). At first I though the fit was kind of awkward, but after a week or so of breaking in, they're quite comfortable. I used them on an overnight backpacking trip (only 5 miles, but it was strenuous uphill) while carrying a ~35lb pack. They worked just fine. The tread is great - you can walk up pretty much anything. They seem durable so far and look great!

I absolutely love these! They are totally waterproof, snug not tight, comfotable, light, ankle support and amazing. When I first got them I went to put them on and thought "wuh..." I could not get my foot in. Of course you have to loosen the clasp on the laces all the way out before you try them on! I am size 5½ and often wear a 6 in women's just fine as many shoes start at 6. I went for the 5½ and they fit awesome. The shoe felt a little tight at first, and I was using the pull piece on the back to slide my foot in. The laces were tight at the toes at first. I loosened them a bit and they were more comfortable. They loosened up after a few days as well to not as tight. They feel light as a feather! They are so comfortable! And a perfect fit (not too small or too big). I would say exactly what your size is get that. I love the black as well as they dirt does not show and even the fabric of the white laces does not dirty easily. I just cannot rave enough. I think these are the most awesome shoes that I have ever owned. I love the look of them too!

I bought these a size smaller because of the previous reviews. They are still big but I kept them and now I regret it. The padding in the heel not as comfortable as some Merrells that I own but it just might be that my foot isn't resting in the right spot. They also seem pointier than other hiking shoes.

Bought these because I need a light weight winter boot for driving. They are super comfortable and feel like they should do well in the snow. Great feature of looking like a sneaker too!

Similar wear to the Terrex 320 (a previous model). Needs a good break-in period, but after that they feel great. I normally wear Adidas so the size matched what I ordered. moderate width in the toes than in the arch with a narrow heel, which is what I need for the contour of my foot. Comfortable feel for an all day hike. Laces come undone easily if you don't utilize the lace bungee, but they also dry rather quick if you drunk them in a stream.

Great looking shoe. Purchased for my 11 year old son for an upcoming school camping trip. Worried he would have wet feet the entire trip. All the reviews looked good and he really likes them...hopefully they do their job and keep his feet mostly dry. Great shipping!

Too big. These are heavy duty hiking shoes. They do not fit like regular Adidas. They hurt my feet but do seem like they'd be good for major outdoor activities which isn't why I purchased them.

Shoe looks good and has good support. Unfortunately in the heel section about an inch off the bottom there is a significant groove which gave me blisters on both feet every time I wore it for hikes longer than an hour. Makes no sense to have that surface that rubs up against you heel have a groove or crease. Had to send them back.

I wore these shoes for 470 miles while walking the Camino de Santiago. They are brilliant! I saw so many other trekkers that had terrible blisters from their so called "Hiking Boots" I never got a single blister in over a month of walking. I did use Powerstep inserts, which combined with these shoes were awesome. I'm here writing this review because it's time for another pair. I'm going with the exact same ones.

I have had this shoe for about six months and first it runs true to size. It's a great tough shoe, light weight. The rubber sole is grippy. The only down fall was the insole I removed it and swapped it with a superfeet insole purchased at Zappos as well. It's now my everyday work shoe 8 hours a day. Wow, I'm buying the more expensive model next time. I love it. Giving this model four stars due to the poor insoles it comes with.

?There are many beautiful things about this shoe. It feels great. I returned them because they read on your foot as snowboarding boots rather than tennis shoes. Their profile is more bulbous and thick than would appear.
